If anyone is noticing any anomalies with KEYW, run the FSDT Live Updater a few times and then reboot. I like this trend of $10 US airports.

Stunning detail in this. No wonder it takes a year to make an airport.

General question:  why are all of these FS2020 airports so much cheaper than their P3D counterparts?

Because developers are thinking they will sell more priced like this substantially to easily cover the difference of what they charged in the past.

The cheaper price makes more sense in MSFS because they can focus their attention on the airport itself instead of the surroundings and ortho-imagery, which can potentially keep costs down. $5-$10 for small airport for MSFS is reasonable, and they will definitely sell a lot more because of it. Excellent work.

And that philosophy works, too. Because given the choice between a competitors new release for $14.99 and this, guess whut? 😊

Yes I am loving the new pricing approach that most scenery developers have adopted and will buy more as a result.  I’ll probably end up spending the same in total, but with more nice airports to fly in and out of.

Guess where I'm flying out of this evening (thanks Umberto)?  I have fond memories here, including running into a Reefer fueling up his Lake, but that's a story for another time.

What a beautiful airport. I can't wait to share some pics I snapped this afternoon.

I also noticed that the people were missing. I'm not sure if when I load the sim after a restart will bring the characters back.

Other than that, go get it!

Key West is one of my favorite vacation spots going back to my very early days and I have to tell you I am totally underwhelmed with this version. Sure the runway, ramp, and terminal are slightly better than the default and the highway between the beach and the airport looks a lot better than the default but other than that - nothing, nada, nope, zip.

The approach even a half mile away is untouched and totally out of character.  There are small docks, marinas and a tank farm or two that were not added.  As a matter of fact I don't think the improved area is more than 50 yards from the end of the single runway in either direction.

Totally disappointed, I am. Maybe this should have been one of those $5.00 airports or maybe free if you buy KORD for twice the price of this one.  Of course, KORD is a huge airport with tons of improvements, whereas this is one runway in the sand and an old out of date terminal with an open ramp.

There are nice golf courses less than a mile from Key West Intl and they are untouched - more than 50 yards from the concrete, I suppose. No new bridges, no Cruise Ships, no USCG cutters, no bars, no people that I could see. For a dollar more they could have included the NAS just a couple of miles away.  The Naval base is nothing but runways anyway.

Hmmm.

I do like the installer and the purchase is slick and easy.  Maybe the next one will blow my skirt up, this one failed.

Regards,

Ray

Only issue, that's not FSDT's fault, is I'm getting a few green blobs in the scenery near the airport where the photogrammy is apparently having issues rendering a few trees...
