March 17, 20215 yr An excellent patch list without a doubt, and will put right all of my little gripes. Scott, if you are about, thanks for listening! It shows JF are an excellent developer, and I really can't wait for the Hawk. Edited March 17, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). The fact that so many things are being fixed also means that many thing were broken. I know the phrase 'Who the heck beta tested this?!' is overused and not always appropriate but with this long list I can't help myself thinking it...! Anyway, reading that list of fixes does bring me a bit closer to a possible purchase. 😉 I am VOR flying a lot lately in the 172 (steam gauges) using the GNS as a fake DME and would love to do it properly: pity you need a payware plane to do so... but if there is one plane suited for that kind of flying, it's this Arrow.

You can also use the modded freeware C152 which has steam gauges and DME functionality. I get your drift Tup, but compared to some issues (and even with the sim itself), I don't mind a few issues as long as they are fixed up nice and quick. I never expect 100% perfect, and in flight sim with all of its complexities, I am never sure we will be able to expect 100% What is bad, is when things go backwards, like with the sim updates. This PA-28 is definitely going forwards, and they have listened quite closely to the purchasers - always a good sign. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). March 17, 20215 yr One thing I didn't see on this fix list, unless I missed it, is the LOC function doesn't work. I have to use Omni when flying the ILS.

March 18, 20215 yr My JF PA28 has a tendency to roll to the left without constant adjustment on the yoke. How do I prevent that without having to resort to the AP ? Edited March 18, 20215 yr by Beagle12 Update text
March 18, 20215 yr Got this on the day of release and I couldn't be happier even with a few limitations. Its great knowing a developer makes a good plane and will update it as needed. You know...as opposed to some of them that pump more planes out than mating bunnies while recycling similar interior/gauges and sounds. This is great. Can't wait for the patch to be live. Its working well with the GNS530 mod as well. I agree. It took me one flight to find several bugs, and if I was a beta tester, I would immediately reported them to the developer. I don't get it. For example, I saw a youtube video prior to purchasing the JF Arrow, which I love by the way, and in this video the person flying the pre release version mentioned that the LOC function on the auto pilot didn't work for flying the ILS, and he had to use the Omni mode instead. Guess what I discovered on the first flight, the LOC doesn''t work and I had to use the Omni mode to fly the ILS. The "beta testers" never saw this??? Edited March 18, 20215 yr by Bobsk8
March 18, 20215 yr Developers will always have to make a decision on what bugs they hold back release (and revenue) to fix, and which ones they fix after release in a service pack.
