I think I'm going to uninstalled it or I start having Carenado PTSD LOL I just bought it and I agree the flight model is horrible. This is beyond bad... I just flew the Arrow a month ago, this is bad even by Carenado's standard. The visual model looks great but major work needs to be done on the flight model. Lots of missing items concerning the interior lighting, this is just plain bad and that's putting it lightly... 😶 Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR

Bob- I will agree it's their best effort so far... however, there are a lot of things I would like to see done better. The yaw axis, the Engine Analyzer, engine parameter interaction (CHT vs. EGT vs. FF vs. MAP/RPM) could all use a little TLC. That said, I will admit that at the moment it's my go-to for a tourer. It seems as though they are making enough from their business plan to encourage them to stay the course- I'm out- that's all. C PS- If they'd just make half an effort on the Waco I'd use it a LOT, I simply adored their Alabeo version in P3d.... ah well. It is what it is (as is everything). C It also has some weirdness where if you turn the ADF volume to off it also turns off the displays for the AP and DME though they seem to keep functioning just no visuals. The Mooney has still become, with the gn530 freeware mod added, my current go-to plane for middle-long flights at lowish level though. Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Glenn Fitzpatrick
March 5, 20215 yr Of course....they rushed it to beat JustFlight. After Mooney is rock bottom. I used to be an adventurer like you; but then I took an arrow to the knee. 🤣 Evidently you never had their P3D Cessna 441 Conquest II - now that really was rock bottom for Carenado/Alabeo, but that was not for MSFS obviously. Personally, I don't think this thing is actually that bad. It goes where you point it in the sky and it looks okay, which is pretty much what Carenado does as a developer and anything after that is usually the result of pot luck or a tweak by some modder; it's why their stuff is 20 quid and comes out at a rate of knots, whereas A2A planes are 65 quid and come out once every Preston Guild, i.e. you have to view this in its context and people need to bear that in mind too if they are expecting an A2A levels of Arrow realism from JF at two thirds of the price. So whilst I agree that it doesn't really feel like a PA28 - I think the JF Arrow will be the one to manage that better - like most, although not all Carenado/Alabeo affairs, this thing is still fairly good fun to chuck around and it (somewhat surprisingly) can manage a pretty good sideslip. It can spin too, although it looked to me like the left wing stalled first but it spun to the right when I tried it, which is a novel concept. You're right about some of the panel switch wackiness though, that does need a tweak although I can confirm that the ADF works even though the audio for it is a bit on the quiet side. What I'll be interested to see, is how this thing, and indeed the other payware aeroplanes for that matter, flies after the forthcoming sim update which affects the aerodynamics. That's going to sort the men out from the boys where flight modeling is concerned and it's really what I was interested in from day one in terms of what MSFS was initially promising from its hype. Things are certainly going to get interesting in the forthcoming month and I'm beginning to strongly suspect that's why we've not seen the patch for that Piaggio/Focke Wulf P149 yet. So what will be interesting to see at that point, is what Carenado do with regard to patches for all of their MSFS stuff; their track record on revisiting products is not known for being great as we are all aware, so I just hope they surprise us in that regard and just maybe that is why they've not gone overboard on the flight modeling for this thing. I doubt it, but you never know; after all, if they'd have told us a year ago that Carenado would be the prolific sales vendor for MSFS stuff, I'm pretty sure most of us would have laughed, but here we all are with four or five Carenado aeroplanes in our virtual hangars. 😮 Edited March 5, 20215 yr by Chock Alan Bradbury Check out my youtube flight sim videos: Here
March 5, 20215 yr I had to have it and it isn't the worst aircraft I have seen. Far from it. The panel lights have to be turned on via the keyboard small (l) then the switches change the brightness. Carenado have been very efficient with updates with one for the PA44 appearing today and it 's panel lights have to be turned on the same way as the arrow. What do you want for $25, a study level aircraft. In your dreams. For what it costs it is a great little aircraft even with a few bugs which I expect to be fixed shortly If you can walk away it's a good landing
March 5, 20215 yr Yes let’s call it great little aircraft with few little bugs that flies nothing like real Arrow either performance-wise or flight physics-wise! This was shared by another developer (Iris) Maybe Carenado already tweaked it for next week updates and starting from Wednesday this thing will fly beautifully 😃
March 5, 20215 yr Commercial Member I suspect cheeky carenado to have rushed it to get head of JF. To be fair, i kinda understand them. We contemplated rushing our P40 to have it released before the Spit and the Corsair. We decided to NOT do that, and take more time to polish things up. Balancing quality expectations with commercial and marketing, is a pretty nerve racking thing actually.
