Addon developers need to add them. They're only on Asobo aircraft right now until developers update their planes.

Volumetric for once, so not 2d. I am pretty happy with what DCS achieved for smoke related effects so i hope it's something similar. I haven't checked in game yet but i will soon-ish.

Wasn't Asobo meant to be working with "Working Title" etc... 

Hey Asobo, just completely replace your code with Working Title's version, and give them a little money for the priveledge... Can't be that hard, can it?

Clearly your devs have no time to fix things, IMHO... Oh wait, how many people you have working on MSFS, 200 isn't it?  Yeah right.... 🤦‍♂️

You're right. Speculating here but Asobo may be collaborating with them for a formal release through the internal curated freeware section of the marketplace. If you can't beat them, have them join you 😉

I detect a few FPS lost since this update, anyone else noticed anything? I've moved the shipping AI addon from my community folder to see if that is the culprit and will test tomorrow.

Haven't seen a contrail yet, but there doesn't seem to be much traffic around to check.

Contrails are needed more for AI aircraft, not your own plane... IMHO shows Asobo's focus on the "I drive my car from outside with a controller" XBox crowd.

What about the puff of smoke when the wheels touches the runway.. Where is that?  We need an effects add on.

Remember we had FX Effects addon where we see condensation on the wings etc? What happened to them? I think it was called "Immersion"?

You have to wonder just how many actual devs (and not "talking-head" managers that love having their faces on Youtube) are actually working on MSFS...  It's not 200 like they reckon... I think it's more like 10 actual devs working on MSFS directly, IMHO.

Unfortunately, people are saying they only show on your aircraft, not traffic.  And your aircraft has to be a default one.  A bit of a disappointment to say the least. Still, it's a start.

But in this case, wouldn't it be smarter if Asobo say this and publish that they are focussing Update 3 on bug fix?

Right now, the thing they work the most on, is dividing the community

Absolutely. Really would go a long way with expectation management...

However if fixing "various crashes across the title" has addressed the CTDs that many were experiencing, that would be a step forward. I'll take a damp squib over a blaze of glory any day hah

No change here. I had my frames locked at 30 before the update and after, no noticeable change in performance.
