March 9, 20215 yr I'm pretty close to turning my back on this now, I'm getting 25-29fps across all settings. I didn't spend £1000's for that poor level of experience guys. The game has major issues imo I'm gutted. New PC Ryzen 9850X3D - 32gb ddr5 6000Mhz - MSI MAG B850 Tomahawk wifi - Gigabyte wind force gaming OC 5090 - 2TB Sabrent NVMe. Old PC - Ryzen 5900x - 32gb 3600Mhz RAM - Asus Strix X570-F Motherboard - ASUS TUF OC RTX 3090 - 1TB Sabrent NVMe. AOC AGON 32" 144Hz - Honeycomb Yoke - Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog. March 9, 20215 yr Used to land in DFW without any stutters.. now its stutter galore. Hmmm.... I have the fastest intel CPU at that.. but crappy video card. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
March 9, 20215 yr After update I have very bad Framerates with all planes, only 25-30 fps, before 40-50. What happened? Peter Windows 11 / MSFS 2024 from MS-Store and Fenix A320

I've moved the shipping AI addon from my community folder to see if that is the culprit and will test tomorrow. Haven't seen a contrail yet, but there doesn't seem to be much traffic around to check. Yes. Before this, I add smooth 30fps through the entire flight. Now it shows my MainThread getting hammered throughout the flight and fps will bounce around from 30 down to 20 and all points in between. No add-ons. Flying offline doesnt help the situation where in the past it would have if you started seeing the Red Manipulator issue
March 9, 20215 yr Oh no! If the fps issue is true I am gutted. A performance hit is the thing I always fear the most from these updates. Edited March 9, 20215 yr by bobcat999 Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's. Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.
March 9, 20215 yr Author Briefly booted the game before restarting to get the legacy liveries downloaded, and I noticed terrible performance in the menus. I fear seeing what it's like during flight. If there's not a quick workaround then safe to say this is the worst patch for me, far worse than the flickering clouds even...
March 9, 20215 yr We need a Mod on Flightsim.to that bypasses Updates and allows you to boot in to MSFS as it was. (Better the Devil you knew). Every time, we know they're going to break something but every time they surpass themselves with the level of damage they inflict. Amazing. They should work for Defence contracts on Arms. I was really looking forward to this update - Update 3 - you know, one would have thought by now, they'd learned the Sim, got their stuff together, be starting to finesse the code, and add in little details just to further immersion, expand functionality and generally just make it more great. But, Nope. I haven't booted MSFS 2020 today. I'll have to tomorrow but I wish I didn't have to take this update onboard. My Sim is working beautifully at present and tomorrow the Developers are going to ruin it. THAT IS WRONG! It should be MY choice whether I update MY software. Very angry Asobo. START LISTENING! Peter Try deleting your rolling cache if you have it enabled - was posted on the official forum as a possible fix for stutters and fps drops. Also the A32NX flybywire textures may be causing a fps drop as well.
March 9, 20215 yr Clouds are broken, right now I can see some vertical bars on the top of some of them
March 9, 20215 yr My approach to KDFW used to be smooth.. Its just pause and go. Sigh! No hit on the CPU. Manny Beta tester for SIMStarter
