P3D ORBX YBBN just released

Featured Replies

I added the second runway and taxiways using ADEX and made some altitude adjustments to the original YBBN.  Since I fly night freight almost exclusively, I tend to not want to upgrade.  I'll relook at it after some of the bugs have been cleared up.

Performance is good. But it shows texture morphing of apron marking lines at several places. Hope the get it fixed.

Performance does seem good and the airport is very nice. However, does YBBN not have runway exit lighting or green centerline taxiway lighting? I have none in my installation.

After a bit try and error I think the flickering ground textures do result from an incompatibility with Envshade.
Disabling Envshade and using default shaders does remove the flickering of the black patches on the asphalt texture. But they reappear as soon as Envshade is installed again. For me it is the first time I see that Envshade is affecting the ground textures of an airport in such a way. @kmax59

I recorded a short clip that illustrates the problem. The layering issues of the ground lines at the end of the video are, however, not related to Envshade and a separate issue.

PS: Perhaps a moderator like @Ray Proudfoot could merge the two Brisbane topics in the P3D forum? Thanks 🙂

Just flown into there for the first time. My PMDG FMC says there are 2 runways but there is only one. Is the scenery out of date already?

It says that v2 of Australia is required but is it really?

No, just a shady gimmick by Orbx that everyone seems to be ok with for some reason.

No, sorry my mistake, I meant there is only one 19 / 01, not 2  parallel runways.

It is the new version.

I'd go back and look at your scenery config then, because the screenies of the new V2 scenery clearly show the parallels.  Is the old one still installed, perhaps?

Required or not, AUv2 is incredibly better than the original. As such, i highly recommend it.

The new ORBX YBBN very clearly shows two parallel runways and I suspect, as mentioned by w6kd, that you may not have uninstalled the original version. I remember seeing an instruction that this version needs to be uninstalled and it asks during the install whether you want to uninstall it.  Because of this factor, I would wonder whether or not it was uninstalled and would investigate it further.

Good luck with this

Thanks for all the help.

To be sure, I completely removed anything to do with YBBN and re-installed from new, making quite sure it was V2.

As you all suspected, something had gone wrong and V1 was obviously not completely removed.

Happy to say all is now correct.

Quick question, I have the original AU. If I get AUv2 do I have to uninstall V1 first ?

Thanks
