wait.. you can remove that white thingy at the top? 😮

Here you go.

One of the guys on here actually did a version but I can't find the link to it at the moment, so best just to get it from flightsim.to

It hides the handle permanently so it doesn't pop up and spoil your videos / screenshots.  The top icon menu will still appear if you move your mouse to top centre.

https://flightsim.to/file/9900/no-handle-bar

Note - as of five minutes ago, I am still having trouble downloading anything from flightsim.to.  Some kind of glitch I think.  Hopefully it will be resolved later.  The download page countdown timer is not counting down.  I have tried with and without VPN - strange!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Why are folks trying so hard to "FSX/P3D" MSFS 2020?

I'm (kind of) joking.😄

We are greedy.  We are going for best of both!  😀

Bears repeating. The monster Asobo unleashed with MSFS 2020 is insanity. The amount of developers appearing out of the fog and like "Sup dudes? Have a few things for you.. Be well. It's free" is unprecedented

This works without the need to turn on Developer mode?

As a Multi Crew Experience  user and since upgrade to MSFS is free, you may not know this, but we have this feature built-in as a bonus for the last 6 months

I think Flightsim.to has a problem at the moment.  When you click on download. it goes into the wait xx seconds and that does not change. Best to try again in the morning I guess.

Tony

@himmelhorse Flightsim.to is back up now.  I just managed to download it.

Flightsim.to is becoming (if not already become) THE go to site for any MSFS freeware addons.

It makes me wonder if MS / Asobo could talk to them to set up something semi-official rather than overloading their own in-sim marketplace, especially as the MS / Asobo guys have mentioned the site and downloaded stuff themselves from there.  It would be simple then: -

1.  Payware and Asobo official addons (including their free sim-expansion stuff) in the marketplace.
2.  All other freeware addons at Flightsim.to

I believe Xplane used to have some kind of system for freeware airports etc.

Hi folks,

Another excellent mod !
Grab it here
😊

From the developer:

"Shift+Z Stats" brings back the classic compact flight statistics know from FSX and earlier titles of Microsoft Flight Simulator.

A very handy tool that shows you information like:

  • Coordinates
  • Wind speed and direction
  • Airspeed
  • Altitude
  • Heading
  • Fuel remaining
  • FPS (Frames per second)
  • Simulation rate

No matter if you're flying a Piper Cub, an Airbus A320 or any other aircraft, "Shift+Z Stats" comes in handy any time.

Thanks for the heads up, David. I think I installed it just seconds after it was uploaded yesterday evening (my time).

Cheers, Ed

It is only for https://gateway.x-plane.com/ that its updated content gets into the next release of XP. For https://forums.x-plane.org/, that is driven by community and has no connection to LR.

It is nice seeing Microsoft and Asobo supporting Flightsim.to but I would prefer to keep it like now, to have flightsim.to independent community driven website that has no connection to MS/Asobo and have a different official gateway for freeware through Marketplace.

I don't know why people have an issue with this.
