July 27, 20214 yr xbox users should not yet be allowed to download MSFS, only after the senior pc users are finished! they must take one step at a time. don't haste, there is so much more to learn about aviation . instead they need to read up on "my first walk around, my first day at the hangar, getting to know your flight instructor, 100 easy calculations on your E6-B Air navigation computer. etc. that will keep them busy for a week or so. Formulas for the E6-B Air Navigation Computer Paperback Formulas for the Air Navigation Computer is written for pilots and air navigators at all levels of experience from the novice to the professional. The book is self-help on how to use the E6-B Air Navigation Computer. An E6-B Air Navigation Computer is a circular slide rule with a wind slide on the reverse side. It is dedicated to performing all calculations related to pre-flight planning and in-flight air navigation. Every pilot has an E6-B Air Navigation Computer, which is supplied with a very brief instructional booklet when the E6-B is purchased. July 27, 20214 yr I was about halfway through my 40G download, and all was working well. Then, poof! The window closed and I got a message saying my internet connection wouldn't work. My internet is fine. Their servers are overloaded -- which, I guess, is a good sign that the Sim is even more popular than they predicted. 🙂 Processor: Intel i9-13900KF 5.8GHz 24-Core, Graphics Processor: Nvidia RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6, System Memory: 64GB High Performance DDR5 SDRAM 5600MHz, Operating System: Windows 11 Home Edition, Motherboard: Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Elite AX, LGA 1700, CPU Cooling: Corsair H100i Elite 240mm Liquid Cooling, RGB and LCD Display, Chassis Fans: Corsair Low Decibel, Addressable RGB Fans, Power Supply: Corsair HX1000i Fully Modular Ultra-Low-Noise Platinum ATX 1000 Watt, Primary Storage: 2TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, Secondary Storage: 1TB Samsung Gen 4 NVMe SSD, VR Headset: Meta Quest 2, Primary Display: SONY 4K Bravia 75-inch, 2nd Display: SONY 4K Bravia 43-inch, 3rd Display: Vizio 28-inch, 1920x1080. July 27, 20214 yr I was already running 1.18.13.0 as I was part of the Beta Flight. When trying to load MSFS this morning got caught up in the Game/Store loop for a bit. Finally after multiple trys and reboots, the Store finally did the update. Then after trying to load the game it was still saying I needed to update in the store. After a few more trys and restarts it finally got to “Checking for Updates” After 8-10 minutes it finally loaded the Update screen and now is reloading the ENTIRE sim AGAIN. NOT a Happy Simmer at the moment. July 27, 20214 yr Took several tries to even get the download started (40.29GiB) as it kept failing for the busy connection. It's downloading now albeit slowly. It will say 'please wait' for quite a while and then download a little bit. I'll just minimize it and go on with life and check it once in a while. Hopefully, it will stay up. Seeing where others have had it just shut down completely somewhere in the middle. Fingers crossed. If not, I'll wait a few days for the dust to settle.
