Anyone actually expecting anything from this hot fix?? I wouldn’t get excited for it. After the biggest update since the sim came out flopped… really disappointed as the sim looked and ran awesome before the forced update.

If they fix AI traffic and id the cause of a few CTDs people are having I will be happy. This update was stunning, but there were a few "issues."

This caught my eye from the linked post..

I will have a 0 tolerance policy for this kind of behavior and will be issuing 30-day silences without warning for anyone I see blatantly being rude to each other.

In comparison AvSim is a model of tolerance.

I think Asobo needs to release a HOTFIX for all the negative people on here. Give them a break. This X-Box release was a huge milestone for them. SU5 is the largest update we've had, so I'm sure some will encounter problems while others won't. Give them time and I'm sure these things will get sorted out. Have some patience and understanding people.

Great news!!!

Tell that to all the whiners, so they can relax and instead enjoy the sim for what it is.

Sometimes I wish that users who comment like you would be excluded from any MSFS updates ... because you are happy with the product anyway..

I’m going to guess a lot of the stuff we are experiencing now, Asobo possibly knew about.  But they had a deadline to meet with the X-Box release on July 27th.  That deadline could not be moved because Microsoft spent a lot of marketing money, marketing July 27th as the date for X-Box.

Exactly!!

Will be finishing downloading stuff at some point in time?

The flame/flag wars in the official forums had become extremely bad though, with lots of hostility directed towards Xbox users (and at Microsoft/Asobo for daring to release an Xbox version as well). Which makes me wonder why we have so many posters constantly dissing AVSIM.

And I think Asobo have been behind the eight ball since the sim was first announced publicly. It seems to be the case to me that Micro$oft have effectively pressured Asobo into releasing the base sim and now the XBox version far sooner than they'd have chosen to themselves.

There were 3 ways this sim could have could have gone: 1) It's announced and rushed out soon after (as was the case), 2) It's announced 2 or 3 years in advance and released when more fully polished or 3) It's developed quietly for as long as it takes and then announced shortly before release. Option 3 would have been the preferable one but hard to do without news leaking out and option 2 would have made the wait more tortuous than having to cope with the issues we are currently facing IMO.

I haven’t read that forum. Too busy modding this one which has been hectic today. I do think if people were face to face the amount of abuse would reduce to a trickle. Only one enforced holiday today. I’m too nice. 😁

LMFAO, yes, Im a happy camper, my BP is normal because I knew Asobo will eventually (once they got xbox out of the way) will get a few things fixed.

If the hotfix will turn MSFS back into a PC game, then I'm happy.

It still is a PC sim.
