August 13, 20214 yr Finally jettisoned P3Dv5 and all installed add ons last weekend. Don't think I'd fired it up since Aug 2020.
August 13, 20214 yr 🙂 I just reinstalled P3Dv5 and my A2A planes. Granted, it's not as pretty as MFS but jumping into the Texan after such a long time was brilliant! Made me realise the flight simming isn't just about fabulous graphics.... P3D will remain as a long as there are no A2A aircraft in MFS. The World is divided into two groups. Those who say "Give me a link" and those that provide the link. WWG1WGA

August 13, 20214 yr There has come a point with almost every service update where things are seriously borked for a week and flying is frustrating as anything.....then a couple of updates come along and slowly things get better. Today was the first time with SU5 I felt I am back to that point - I then get a couple of weeks of stability and then back to the drawing board. Yes there are still a few annoying things but I am back to enjoying flights again. I havent gone back to any of my other flight sims and pretty much cant anymore. Now buying things in the stores is another matter...waiting for some of these custom airports issues I have to be fixed I hope someday in the future we get updates and things go smoothly without a week of pain.

Unfortunately for me, it seems after the updates and fixes, things are not quite as good as they were before the update.

But for many users, the graphics in MSFS -- which are indeed fabulous -- are a game-changer (literally). This is why we put up with all the glitches and issues. It's the price we pay for being in the early developmental stages of a revolutionary advance in flight simulation. Takes patience, but boy-oh-boy is it worth it!

What was an amazing simulator for me for 11 months is now complete and utter garbage after SU5. I have to wait for SU6 and hold out hope that the sim returns to some semblance of its former self at that point. Right now it is absolutely unusable for me. Pure trash.
