August 17, 20214 yr I am almost at the point my graphics finally match so many good looking images I have seen on this forum! Even after Hotfix 2 I still had blurry textures, washed out colours and flat contrast. I have lost count how many suggestions I have tried with settings in MSFS, UserCfg.opt and Nvidia Control Panel. Today I seem to have found a combination of settings that are giving me sharp textures way off in the distance, good colours and better contrast. Maybe a bit of tweaking still required, but MSFS is great to fly with again! August 18, 20214 yr what settings? Win 11 pro 64Bit, X670 AORUS ELITE AX, Ryzen 7 7800x3d, RTX 4080, 64Gig G-Skill 6000 DDR 5, Samsung 990 pro 2TB NVME.
August 18, 20214 yr While we're waiting on MrBit to reply, I'd like to comment on performance changes since the last patch. It is much better. In fact, I'm near 60FPS with mostly ultra settings at 4K. Before, the patch, I was seeing 34-48 FPS with some chugging. So, if there's config changes to make things look better, I'm ready to try them. Anyone seen MrBit? August 18, 20214 yr Enjoy it while you can. While I too am currently experiencing some very good graphics and performance, I know from the recent past (SU's 3, 4, 5 😧) that these may be fleeting moments. I hope not though.

That is why we should be able to stand pat and hold off updates until the dust clears. Or roll back if needed. I understand the Cloud basis for the sim, but with as large an enterprise as MS is, and with the resources at hand, there is no reason why there could not be an A and a B. B is the update, A is the rollback! Two clouds still gets reported as "widely scattered". I am currently on a cloud I have not be on since perhaps early last December. I like this cloud! I fly a schedule. I have not uninstalled my previous sim. Always have a plan B? Ummm! Always have a rollback Plan A! August 18, 20214 yr Commercial Member @MrBitstFlyer With a LOD of 5, do you get bad stutters when panning around? Because for me that id the biggest issue. My PC can handle a LOD of 5 but as soon as I pan around it's game over. I know they are going to release an update with a slider to help with pop ins but how will that work exactly? How will it make a difference if I leave LOD at 5?
