Big WT G1000 NXi Update

Featured Replies

So will the Working Title G1000 NXi eventually replace the G1000 in all the default GA planes at some point in the future?  That is, if the G1000 NXi replaces the G1000, we don't even have to download the G1000 NXi from the marketplace because it will automatically come with all the default GA planes that were using the G1000 before?

I am trying to enter the Flight Plan manually. I enter the Departure airport and it is flashing. But pressing ENT does nothing.  Seems like a bug.

It's working ok here.

I believe that's what they said will happen.

It seems the DA62 mod is not compatible with this new version of the NXi and needs to be updated.

According to someone who commented on the Flightsim.to site, Working Title said "Right now the DA40 and DA62 mrtommy mods are not compatible".

The author of the mod just announced that a fix for this is supposed to be coming later today:

Both installed in sim is fine, both installed in same aircraft.. no.

Thanks for this clarification Bert.

Would there be a reason why someone would want both of them installed in the same aircraft?  I don't understand why anyone would want that.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

A very substantial upgrade, thank to all involved at WT group

Does this mean the NXi will remember these previous settings next time I boot the Sim up and start a flight?

Yes.  🙂   And it's keyed by the atc_model parameter in a plane's aircraft.cfg, so it should be customizable per plane, if you want different settings in your 172s vs your 208s.

Correct, we are delivering it through the marketplace for now both so we can have a more rapid release cycle, and so people have to opt in to it while it's still in a formative state.  Once we're fully happy with it, it will be dropped into the main sim and become the new default G1000 for everything.

🙂  Thanks to all of y'all for the enthusiasm, support, and (occasional, but sometimes justified) criticism.

Looks to be an issue with the PFD inset map where it actually shows the map as North Up when you select Track Up (it works correctly for HDG Up) ?

Awesome thanks @kaosfere 👍

With this update for ILS it will automatically set the frequency and change CDI to Nav1/2 after APR is pressed?  How to achieve this?

In the real world, there would be no reason for this, but in the sim world, some users like to have a popup GTN on a separate screen..

Rob Young Turbo Bonanza with the NXI= Fun times 🙂

ps.. this thing is getting to be really good!

I am so picky, without the engine page to do proper leaning and get a fuel flow, I can't do the Bonanza lol. Having flown one IRL, it is so important to properly lean and monitor the engine.

Understand, but can you not lean by ear..?  You do not lose the engine in the sim, if you are off by a bit.. 🙂
