- Mouse in VR Bug, prevents users from using any Toolbar App - Game Breaking for many who rely on the use of Toolbar Apps when flying

As ever, just because it's working just fine for you and "others" does not mean it is for everyone.

Oh boy, another one, we already know the shortcomings, what is the point of beating the dead horse again and again. Just get over it and instead enjoy, nothing is going to change, it is what it is.

Same opinion here. I'll wait for the hotfix, In the meantime, no hurry at all. It's a shame MS/Asobo will not deliver the hotfix before the holidays.

I don't follow your logic.  The Beta fixes many of the issues, plus you do not have to test or communicate with MS/Asobo - just fly.  In effect you will have a hotfix a couple of minutes after the download.  I am flying this open beta everyday and most of the weather bugs have been fixed.  I use the Steam version.  All I had to do was click on use the beta and MSFS was updated in a couple of minutes.  If I want broken weather again I just untick the beta and a couple of minutes later I can fly in broken weather.

I agree about not wanting to be a beta tester when you have already paid the game as final, but in this case the "beta" version has no drawbacks compared to the "stable" (GOTY, LOL...). It is just better.

It is not less stable, it has all the features of the original SU7 and fewer bugs: no color banding, no low clouds, no sudden transitions of visibility and fog, no further loss of pilot logs and achievements, same performance, etc.

They just called it "beta" because they don't want to be mocked again by the community in case what they claim to be fixed is not fixed. In fact as you can see in the official forum, they now tick the issues as fixed by means of a poll! While I am perplexed by their lack of confidence (can't they just test the fixed themselves?) I appreciate their transparency.

And if you are on Steam (I cannot speak for MS Store), you can switch between the two versions in a couple of minutes (see my previous post in this thread).

 

Im flying every day without being in the public beta. Yes the ctrl 0 VR toolbar solution is annoying for now. But doesn’t prevent me from having a great flight. I’m content until the hotfix is officially released…don’t care to do any beta testing for this sim at this point.

I agree that was nonsense, especially as they have said SU8 will be bug fixing.

This thread doesn’t make any sense to me.

Except for the Defenders of the Faith who deny any flaw ever, we are all aggravated that MS releases buggy updates, update after update. For once, they give Asobo the time to do a clean job.  And who said that Asobo is not working their behind off ? Should we really complain knowing that SU7 is entirely playable at least in a non VR environment ? I fly everyday grumbling sometimes about the weather but I fly.

I find also not helpful (read a bit tiresome) the advice to go to the beta. A  core reinstall will take me at least 15 hours plus the regional DLC and eat up my internet quota for the month. I am sure not to be alone. Knowing the detestable history of MS update and download botched procedures over a year and a half, I do not believe that the risk is minimal. And any guidance from MS is not really to reassure me. 

Instead of beating a dead horse, be worry that Neumann announced an insane program of twelve WU and SU for 2022.
