I mean yeah, it still baffles me they didn't have a proper user beta testing system in place from the outset, 1 1/2 years since release and it's barely any better now in the sense that they don't interact at all which is a main reason for having a Beta. We're talking to brick walls most of the time, which is unlike anything I've ever seen with regards to gaming/simulation beta testing from other developers, their almost showing ignorance and only having the beta because a lot of users asked for one.

My current Mojo with Asobo is very low overall, it's never been really high to be fair but right now I'm wishing a different developer would take over certain aspects of the Sim, the physics (Seb) side are doing great work moving forward but they're severely lacking in other areas, here's just a few;

  • Bring in Staff to control the beta process and make it more efficient, with direct communication with the actual developers on what they want testing, the procedures, asking for specific feedback etc etc.
  • I'll beat the same drum but FFS Asobo get some Quality Control Management in place, it's shockingly apparent they have none.
  • Hand over the Weather to a new group like what they did with Working Title on the GARMINS, it's very clear they're struggling with the Weather.
  • Hand over the VR development to a competent group who know what they're doing (again akin to WT), Asobo are currently treating VR like a nuisance they had to incorporate when they didn't initially want to.

I take it you've installed the beta and are actively reporting issues?

Yep move on, the issues are obvious and recorded, let's see what Asobo do or do not during the beta period

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Hallelujah. It's a beta. Moan only after SU8 is released and nothing has been fixed. In the meantime log your bugs with Asobo.

Which, I suppose, is the point of a beta release.

Honestly what I noticed right away about the night lighting had more to do with buildings, and I'm not sure if that was something that Asobo did, or simply refinements by Blackshark.

What I think i's seeing is that the autogen, (non-photogrammetry) buildings have been significantly refined and that along with that has been a huge change in window sizes (they were much too small) in large buildings, and some big changes especially in night lighting textures for those buildings.....

Any chance you're running Aerosoft Simple Traffic Tools? They deny it's their problem and to tell the truth I've not investigated much, but I never saw these berserk Commercial airliners crisscrossing the skies at 200 feet while using AIG. And I spent a lot more time plane spotting when I had AIG installed.

ya i am

so maybe its that

just odd, not a game crasher

March 1, if something doesn't pop-up to change that in the mean time.

At the risk of being told to install the beta and see for myself,  I'd like to ask if they've made any changes yet to the flight planner or started to incorporate work done by WT into the default G1000?  Their notes make it unclear (to me).

Install the beta and see for yourself....

C'mon, get over it. Its getting old, did it really hurt that much? You even started a thread just to complain about it. Its the internet, get a thicker skin. Guess you never been to the steam forums, this place is like nothing compared to the toxic place that can be...

I don't think they have mentioned anything along those lines re. the NXi, except that a blank screen reported by some uses will get fixed in the final SU8. I have not encountered that black screen, but why would you continue to use the G1000 instead of WT's free enhanced NXi upgrade anyway?
