August 8, 20223 yr The latest development update from SimWorks Studios reveals that the team is now fully focused on this project, finishing the external model with decals, textures, and a nice assortment of real-world liveries. These will include paint schemes from British Antarctic Survey, Air Greenland, Brymon, Berjaya Air, Tyrolean, and Continental. August 8, 20223 yr I asked SWS on their Facebook Dash 7 update whether it would have the large cargo door, but no response yet. Anyone know ? Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org

I can imagine an Airbus 320 being called too automated but a Dash 8 Q400 too automated... and boring?! It's my favorite plane (for simming) of all time so I really hope I will be able to fly it in MSFS someday! But hey, to each his own. 😉

I'm not saying the Dash 7 is not super cool. But it's not binary. Just because I think the Dash 7 is interesting and unique doesn't mean I think the Dash 8 is boring. Too automated? You are talking about the plane like it's an airbus or something. Yet it does not have an autothrottle and barely has a proper VNAV. I'm in the camp where I like both the Dash 8 and Dash 7. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I’m really excited for the Dash 7, something interesting and very different from the norm, but at the same time the lack of a good Q400 on the horizon is a big hole in my hanger right now. The dash 7 looks to be coming along very nicely right and I look forward to flying it. Depending on the release timeline we could end up with two four-engine airliners in the sim neither of which is a 747 😉 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

I believe it was also available in FSX - not sure, my memory is a bit dim. Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting. https://rationalwiki.org
