March 11, 20224 yr I see that the new 1.0.24 version is now in the Marketplace. I checked on my Just Flight account and it is still the old version. Dave Swigert WIN 11 i9-14900KF 64 GB ram Viewsonic 32" 60Hz 2K monitor NVIDIA MSI RTX 4080S Asrock Z790
March 11, 20224 yr If I purchase it from the Marketplace, does it automaticly download it into my MS2020 (hands off) ?

Nope, you'll have to install it yourself in the content manager. Cheers, Bert AMD Ryzen 5900X, 32 GB RAM, RTX 3080 Ti, Windows 11 Home 64 bit, MSFS 2024

March 11, 20224 yr Is anybody seriously not flying this because they are waiting for an update? I took it out this morning and as always, marvelled at just how good it is. I'm happy to wait another week or two for a slight improvement if that is how long its going to take.
March 11, 20224 yr I agree. I fly the Kodiak regularly, implemented the PID fix frrom the msfs forums, and with the exception of the nose dropping when you disconnect the AP, I'm not seeing any major issues.
March 11, 20224 yr I don't mind improvement but announcing patch and delay it indefinitely doesn't look good Life time flight sim enthusiast, current airplane owner 172P (past C182F). March 11, 20224 yr MFS is much more "dynamic" than it's predecessors in terms of development and stability of the platform to cope with some development requirements. Posts at the official forum suggest it such as the two bellow recently updated at fligthsimulator.com, each referring to limitations / innacuracies reported by devs who look for some feedback from ASOBO in order to find out the best way to try to overcome it: Is setting the stall speed directly still possible? - MSFS DevSupport (flightsimulator.com) Drag calculation borked (new topic) - MSFS DevSupport (flightsimulator.com) and many more.... I imagine how complex it'll turn once the new CFD approach debuts. It's supposed to affect only the default C172 with SU9 but probably the devs will seek to bring into their creations, and again a new "cycle" of updates / bug reports / ... will start. I don't really know if it's one of these limitations that is preventing the Kodiak update to be released. I learned to forget about seeing MFS as a flight-dynamics stable / sound flight simulator and now I rather use it as a tremendous visuals simulator which may well be used to prepare for some RW flying tasks. They stated many times that the Kodiak update is caused by problems with the SWS server. It has already been released on the market Place.
March 11, 20224 yr Oh, ok, then a site-specific glitch, not even related to MFS itself. Thx ! For any company is such delay and no communication not a good step towards their good reputation. I am former FSX user, than P3D and I was very suprised with flight model of the plane . But in a bad way (despite the great reviews). So I am waiting for patch to improve some things. Basically I spent money on product that needed FDE patch, that is no longer available and official patch seems to be rather promise than reality. I was surprised that payware product with tons of great reviews need FDE patch. But maybe this is just MSFS course and I was expecting something else that I should expect.
