It is amazing, it's the single most important thing for immersion (as an airline pilot that is). For P3D it has been the most worthwhile purchase for me, by a large margin.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Thanks to Umberto for the big updates! The best addon is coming....

Umberto, will we have the same keyboard shortcuts available in MSFS as P3D?

Reason I ask is one of the best investments I made for FS was my Razer Mouse with 12 small programmable buttons in the thumb rest pictured below.  I have all my GSX commands programmed into those buttons.  Button 11 calls up the GSX interface for me on ctrl-shft-f12 and then I can select the options via the numbers.  I'd love to have that in MSFS as well.  The toolbar integration is very slick in the video but just wondering if the keyboard shortcuts will work as well.

Thank you, very excited for this release in MSFS, couldn't imagine P3D without it and all your efforts.

This is what they've done for P3D recently. Imagine how amazing this will be with the new animations / models / physics in MSFS.

I'm hyped for a product that might not even be out this year, haha! 😭

Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory.
The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire.
To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune.

There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you.
It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.

Firetrucks

Hmmm....with the capabilities of MSFS and your creativity, wouldn't it be awesome if you could link a "water cannon salute" when simmers reached milestones in their logbook, like 100 hours total time, 25th IFR flight, 100th night landing, etc.

Yes, I know the logbook in MSFS is a little whacky, but there is nothing saying that @virtuali couldn't create a custom logbook embedded in GSX that would keep track of events and roll the trucks when you hit that milestone. 🙂

I understand that this ceremony is usually reserved for retiring captains, special airline events (an aircraft model's last flight for example), etc.....but I think it would be cool anyway to be linked to a simmer's milestones.

The base package for visuals is stunning and compelling in MSFS--but boy I'm starting to miss these things like GSX in P3D, and especially FSCaptain.  Come on MS/A get that SDK up to maximum robustness ASAP!

It would be amazing if it could be integrated into the base package!

That‘s one of the things I‘m looking forward to the most too. I‘d also like if they could improve the luggage loading procedure.

We'll probably redo the luggage loading procedure entirely from scratch. It was one of the first things we did back in 2012, and it hasn't changed other than redoing the vehicle and the bags in PBR.

It's fairly tricky process, requiring a sync between many different items, the loader vehicle, the baggage carts, the tow truck that moves, the bags that are being passed from the belt, to the guy and finally on the cart, and we want to make it right this time, so we could have different guys, many more bags variations and more vehicles. The trick is, the more flexible and independent the objects are, the more complex the programming becomes, potentially putting more strain on the sim so, it IS tricky, and there's always a reason why things are done in a certain way. But computers today are more powerful than they used to be 10 years ago so, I think we'll find a way.

It seems people don't want to believe how much time is required to redo all objects/textures/animations from scratch.

Showing more services now, would only expose to nasty comments like "they ported objects from P3D" or "that's the same OMSI grandma!", so we won't show anything unless it's completely remade from scratch for MSFS.

And it takes way more time to do something properly, in the way people expects. This video shows something probably never seen before in any Microsoft flight sim: Cloth physic on the bypass pin, which is quite tricky and time consuming to do.

Great work, Umberto. The cloth physics was the first thing I noticed! So I guess we can expect to see fire, smoke, and liquids next? 😁

I came to rely on GSX in P3D and have missed it tremendously in MSFS. The default services leave quite a bit to be desired.
