Well yes, if you put it like this. The DA20 that I fly has two wings, so I guess that qualifies me as a 737 pilot. 😛

If you’re having a goof, fine.  If this is at all serious, you can quote the entire post instead and see if it still lines up with the words you are putting in my mouth.

and hey, DA40 hours count towards your commercial, and ATP.  So it might, eventually.

I'm just curious who plans on buying what?  Nothing is set in stone.  I'm planning on the PMDG 737-700 only.  I'll stay with the FBW Airbus for now.

Just got the Milviz 310R (which I recommend)

Waiting for:

  • Honda Jet
  • 737 bugfixes / stutter fixes / tablet
  • 737-800
  • 737 Max

May get the airbus at a later time.

I need them ALL! 😈

Now that I think about it, I’ll probably also get the Fenix bird if the reviews are good. Definitely gotta get the 737 first though.

FBW is like 1% of the Fenix.

This is a very misinformed statement.  Especially considering all of the latest system updates, textures, tablet and sounds.

Take for instance the new LNAV on FBW. It is highly, highly accurate. Much more so than the Pmdg 737 which is a payware product for decades. The FBW is becoming an incredible airbus sim. It is like the MSFS answer to Zibo Mod for X Plane.

I have the full honeycomb setup, so it lends itself to a 737... which I will get... and somehow learn... I am a pure GA dude lol.

Simple decision for me: the Fenix A320

All my airliner flying is VA-based and the real-world  airline stopped operating 737s a number of years ago. There's another benefit to this - after 1700Z today I can probably skip 95% of the forum threads 😉

No either/or decision for me. I will definitely get both.

I fly with a yoke so PMDG for me, might consider the Fenix at a later date.....

PMDG for me. Simply for the fact that currently Fenix is nothing but couple of screenshots, lots of words and few video of systems... I do hope it will be a big success tho.

I voted incorrectly 🤦‍♂️

I’ll actually be purchasing both. 700 & 800 only though because of the pricing strategy.

Fenix… we’ll I’m an Airbus kinda guy and will spend a majority of my time in this one. If it is as good as the previews suggest, then it should be a level above anything else on the market. That should push all other developers into innovating again.

Are you using MSFS?  Will you be partaking in any of the upcoming addons?

I'm getting both, but I will need to get semi bored of the 737 first. I'm all Airbused out atm.
