No VR toolbar fixes? After they broke it?!

I'm not really surprised....

this is completely incomprehensible .... this is a simple bug that should be quick fixed, and what?

I use AddOn Linker: https://flightsim.to/file/1572/msfs-addons-linker

AddOn Linker creates a virtual directory in your Community folder.  You can enable and disable add-ons in a one or two seconds.  You never have to move anything in or out of your Community folder, since AddOn Linker creates a virtual directory when you enable the add on (and removes the virtual directories when you disable the add ons).

Everyone that has multiple add-ons for MSFS should be using AddOn Linker, IMO.  With AddOn linker, you can quickly disable all your add-ons before running an update in MSFS.

I hate to ask it.  But is there a good tutorial online?  I have a ton of addons at this point.  But want to get it for sure.

The linker itself comes with a nice pdf help file.

@micstatic (or anyone else btw) feel free to msg me directly f you need help with addons linker (i'm the author).

There are also some videos on youtube (check maybe 'badgamr' channel),

Whatever you do, just make sure you test first with one or a few addons and make sure it works fine for you. If you have the ms-store version you can run into some issues if you move your existing addons outside of your community folder because of some encryption/rights management issue that some (not all fortunately) users experienced (thank you microsoft 😛). Other than that it should be fairly simple.

VR Toolbar issues ongoing since SU7, their ignorance is obvious even though they have a "VR Team" according to Jorg Neumann....well maybe if he managed that team correctly they'd be fixing the bugs, issues and regressions that they themselves brought into the sim since SU2 when VR was first introduced.

But as I said, it doesn't surprise me, their naivety and constant severe lack of Quality Control is nothing new.

Is it just me, or do we have a new 'signing in' splash screen?

Also, having to recompile all my WASM based aircraft... 737, MD-82, F-104G. Meh! 😔

Try this YouTube video: https://youtu.be/O68u05JZXL8 (ignore the advanced stuff in the video, you don’t need the advanced stuff to get Add On Linker working)

To be honest, it’s really easy to setup for the first time:

1. Move your add-ons you have saved in the official MSFS Community folder into an outside folder of your choice.

2. You need to set the Community folder location in Add On Linker. I believe if you installed MSFS in the default location, Add On Linker will figure out your Community folder location.  If you didn’t install MSFS in the default location, then you need to tell Add On Linker where your Community folder is.

3.. Ignore the Presets field. This one confuses most people as they think its where you tell Add On Linker where your Add On folder is.  It’s not.  I never changed the Preset field.

4. Click the Add + button to add the root folder of your Add Ons.  If you have 10 Add Ons, and all your 10 Add Ons are stored in the root folder, say, C:\AddOns, then you just add C:\AddOns, by clicking on the Add + button.

5. Click the “Ok” button at the bottom and if you did it right, Add On Linker should detect all your add ons in the Add On root folder (in my example, that would be C:\AddOns).

You should see all this in the YouTube video. It takes like 2 minutes to setup, it’s pretty easy.

Even better @micstatic, you got the author of Add On Linker right here to help you!

In the World Map, when I’m typing in a flight plan, waypoints and navaids aren’t showing up when I type them in anymore. Only airports are listed.  Is there a setting somewhere that may have turned these off? I’ve never see this before.

Add on Linker may look intimidating at first but once you complete the setup it's really use to use.

Dude.😣  Load up FSX or P3D and still come away with Asobo's word not allowed or naive.🧐  If it wasn't for Jorg's foresight to see merging a Google Earth type world in a sim we'd still be back on cartoon simulators.  You must be new to this hobby... 🤨

Anyone notice improvement in FPS? I saw one person stated they did, curious of the others who have been suffering from lower than normal frames.

Get it now...it is, hands down, the best mod that is not an actual payware aircraft...full stop. And it is FREE.

thanks everyone for the help.  Will get on it after I get one other thing working
