Yes that's what they said,that's what they did,that's what i didn't see.

I preferred the live weather before, the clouds before, and the luminosity rendering before,

About Photogrammetry it's only pretty in an upright position and the color of the buildings is black.

It's very clear in my head.

I would be curious to see weather real forecast  with type of cloud/precipitation reporter vs depicted by live weather. For example where I live in California marine layer cloud looks like on last pic. In this case what I see IRL is matching MSFS. But say If I would fly to a desert in afternoon I would building cumulus cloud that look like on your first pic.

For some of you you have a short memory about live weather and cloud and light rendering of the year 2020. Even the water color to change...

In my defense, my memory is terrible about everything!

Curious, for your water color comparison shots, were these factors the same/similar between the old and new shots?: sun position, time of day, day of the year, clouds coverage and positioning, location, angle of the camera... because all of those obviously have an impact on water color 🙂

If someone has been using MSFS since release, and followed each update closely, there's no way in hell that the person would not know that some things are better and some took a step back. The live weather feature is now more reliable, but there was a time when cloud depiction was much better than it is now.

MSFS

Today I feel like I'm flying over water of the same color no matter the scenario and today's clouds are too white and too generic.

Live weather 2020 may not have been as accurate as it is today, but visual quality today is really bad if I compare to year 2020

This is not a comparison, all these shots were taken in 2020

On my system the voices have changed for better and worse since what I remember early on. They sound better but enunciate worse. For example instead of saying 'three', now it always sounds like 'tree'...

Try doing the same with MSFS 2020 today  with live weather or even with manual weather.

That's exactly how I feel and it's not just the clouds....

No idea to even tell at this point. I only have a couple screenshots from MSFS release back then.

There was such a good balance in 2020 between water, clouds and light. It was magical!

I still loved the Weather early 2021 in the Sim.

I thik the whole METAR Update messed it up.

Has never been the same.

Since SU9 even the LOD is bad very often, and pop ins of objects.

YMMV

Not really complaining, just observing it.

SU9 has improved things slightly over the disaster that SU7(?) brought to cloud depiction, but we’re still a long way from the realistic skyscapes we had in the beginning. Hoping that SU10 brings it all back.

Having said that, local haze is very well-done and hopefully they can translate that into large scale atmospheric haze at some point.
