Beech Starship WIP for MSFS

Featured Replies

I would have preferred that they bring the KingAir to the same standard as the Dukes first. I would be happy to pay an upgrade fee for that.

Absolutely love it! A2A Aerostar + BS Starship = Paradise! 🙂

Our Dev at Black Square has been busy multi-tasking - Look out for some news tomorrow from us that covers all the Black square titles and the status of their updates.  Hopefully you'll be pleasantly surprised. More tomorrow..

Juicy news...can't wait!

When I first heard that Black Square were doing the Starship, I have to admit my reaction was "meh". I remembered flying it back in FS4, but it never really registered with me at the time. And I guess I had always filed it away as "wacky design, commercial failure".

But seeing the screenshots of that cockpit does something for me. The aesthetic is almost Knight Rideresque - this is what the future used to look like! And from there, turning a fresh eye to the rest of the design, I am suddenly gaining a late appreciation for the Starship. Commercial failure maybe, but what a technological masterpiece, daring to innovate in so many areas at once. I'm happy that this unique aircraft is being "digitally preserved" in this form, and I'm eager to see what it's like to fly.

Did that avionics package pioneer the whole yellow/red system information text near the engine parameters? I know the 757 also had the same method but not sure who was first.

I don't much about the Beech Starship, but I am stoked for this.  He's doing the lord's work with these add-ons.  Between Fenix and Black Square, I don't have time for anything else!

This looks superb. Not the type of plane I would really fly. Nor the type of avionics I could be bothered to learn, but no doubt it will be another top notch plane from BlackSquare. Definitely love the look the look of it.

Day one purchase for this baby! Nice to see that some talented devs work on rare planes.

Cheers

It is also my plan to create stand-alone versions of all four Steam Gauge Overhaul aircraft for MSFS 2024, freeing them of the limitations imposed by the default exterior models. These aircraft will include all the features of recent Black Square aircraft and any applicable new technology made available in MSFS 2024.

Fantastic news! I'm especially looking forward to the Caravan, MSFS 2024 will include skydive operations so the Black Square C208 will be the perfect fit for that.

Very interesting looking plane. Looks like an Airfix model I assembled once after too many beers on a Saturday night...

The Starship is one of my all-time favorite aircraft, and it looks like Black Square is doing a great job!! This is definitely going to be a day 1 purchase for me!

I would trust no other developer than Black Square to make the best high-quality visuals the best FlyPad the most sophisticated and deep simulated systems - and the most exciting optional failures and technical difficulties possible.

P.S.

And the most exciting turbine engine simulation.
