FSLTL - live traffic finally released

It's more that you just aren't noticing it. AIG uses real wingspans which causes ALOT of parking issues due to Asobo adding an extra 12foot ring around parking spots to protect won't overlap. FSLTL sidesteps this by reducing the wingspan of most of it's models to essentially trick the sim into thinking the aircraft are smaller so that they'll park closer together.

I’m not sure if I’m just not understanding correctly…but shouldn’t sidestepping that limitation result in more parked traffic and not less?

This add-on is really good.

Sorry if this has already been answered (long thread), but do you need to stop and restart the injector for every new flight in the same session, or does it just abandon old areas and load new ones?

i910900k, RTX 3090, 32GB DDR4 RAM, AW3423DW, Ruddy girt big mug of Yorkshire Tea

no

yes

moved from TNCM to MUHA, without touching FSLTL. it detects when you move to another location automatically and then restarts there again with new traffic data.

Nope you don’t need, it will automatically adjust itself for a new flight

Spoiler

Here is complete guide with screenshots, how to resize textures to have more stability, smoothness and better fps in MSFS2020:
https://drive.google.com

/file/d/1GgTBv667zz-qyEj13FSOe4vaqMyT1K5Z/view?usp=sharing  Guide is made by me, with help of RJC68toby23 and chickster25 from AVSIM forums.

This guide was made in discord group named live traffic modifications.

What is my goal? Just make existing Ai traffic solutions better with some modifications. I dont share copyright protected material but i am providing instructions to do those modifications. For example this texture rezising method is making msfs2020 more stable, smoother and with better fps. For me it did gave me +15% better fps with rezising all the textures to 1K.

My future plans are wide open. I personally have ideas and I would love to have more users to join my LTM discord to discuss these ideas and help me to make them happen. My next project is making native GA aircraft models to be used in MSFS with offline traffic, with FSLTL injector (beta atm) and with real time online. I need only  couple of models to be made, because we can duplicate those used with different icao designators.

Third project will be trying to hassle with .cfg´s (aircraft.cfg, engines.cfg, flight_model.cfg etc). I currently can make ai aircraft´s braking to be less effective by disabling reverse thrust. That is example i did discover over one year ago. There is lots of parameters from fsx/p3d era we can try. But this project is launching after SU11 where should be updates to AI traffic engine.

Are you intressed to join us in Discord? Send me personal message, so i will give you invite link to it

Why it was hidden?

I set me installer to place it in a customer location to use with Addons Linker. In may addons linker I have two entries, base and injector, and both are checked. I've had no problems because of this but got to wondering should the injector folder be checked?

I have it checked when I use FSLTL, but I launch the injector from a link to the original installation in the Addons folder (not the Community folder) on my desktop.

There may be other ways but this works.

Kind regards, Michael

I do the same.

I believe that the injector has to be in the Community folder or linked to by Addon Linker to the Community folder if you want to see the Injector controls for resetting the injector or deleting nearby traffic in the FS2020 toolbar at the top of the screen.

Thanks guys. I do have everything installed in a addon folder and use Addon Linker to enable. I then have a shortcut to the injector on my desktop to launch it. Just wasn't sure about whether it was required to link the injector inside addon linker or just the base folder.

It's personal choice but, assuming you want to fly with AI traffic every flight, there is no benefit to having the FSLTL installation managed by Addon Manager. Vel is correct and FSLTL looks in the Community folder for the Injector, models and textures and will install any updates into that folder. I only mention this as I had problems moving this folder around while optimising the textures.

The advantage is not having the FSLTL folders inside the community folder. Sometimes we need to remove everything from the community folder to test something or if we have a problem with the sim and it's much easier to disable all addons with Addons Linker than removing everything from the community folder itself to another folder. That's why I always prefer to avoid installing stuff in the community folder.

We also have updates that specifically specify to empty the community folder. Much easier this way.

This add-on adds so much to MSFS. The immersion and feeling that you are at a live airport is really excellent. Great job.
