Until they get some real competition they’ll always be laughing. And I don’t mean a two horse race either. Same applies to CPU’s.

Of course.

Naah, I wouldn't call it a bargain, but it was a choice I was willing and able to make - and did 🙂

Those terrible framerates seems to happen in some systems with SU11 beta and FSTLT due to a memory leak!!!

Taking off from egll with 40 fps and FSTLT.

Making a turnaround and landing at that same EGLL with 8 fps.

Without FSTLT the turnaround is the same 40 FPS

W0w, that’s a bargain then…No that is € 2000+ for a graphics card …. 🥳

Nvidia is laughing their pants of. The 5090 will be € 3000+ ….

The day of their release, I managed to get my ZOTAC 4090 Trinity OC at 1989€. In France little stock and almost only OC GPUs.
For the 5090 all will depend on the semiconductor economy. That is the problem of supply and demand. But you’re probably right, Nvidia’s gonna eat.

Guess what happened : the Aviation Mega Store in the Netherlands will end Flight Simulation by the end of the year.

A Fs friend of mine sent me a link to their site so I bought a dual needle flaps gauge for less than half the normal price.

When I called him to thank him for the link he asked me if I knew someone with a 3090 for sale as he wanted to upgrade his 2080…

So I sold him one of mine for € 950….

Now I need another graphics card that is faster than the 3090.

Any ideas …. 😇

Amazon is the one who is actually gouging the heck out of everybody right now, but then they actually have stuff in stock, probably cuz their prices are ridiculous.

So, you can pay nearly $2,600 or more for a card from Amazon and have it right now, or try your luck at pretty much any other store for about $1,500, but they are only intermittently in stock.

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

The one place the 4090 shines is VR.  My Varjo Aero can now hit the 2D CPU speed limit in VR with DLSS Quality and Ultra settings, or I can use DLAA/TAA and motor on at 35 FPS with those settings.  It's double what the 3090 was offering at those high resolutions.  If you are looking to push resolution that's where it separates itself generationally from the 30 series.

Agreed. Im finding the same thing.

in my world... I once got up to 34 FPS in the 172 over central California and I was jazzed.  I am very used to landing the Fenix 320 at KSEA at best around 12-15 FPS (all mid range settings).  I hope to soon buy a new PC that will allow me to get around 25 FPS into KSEA.  I am 60 years old and money is really not an issue, but I am a bit concerned about dropping $4,000 US into a PC that I often see in videos like this, however 2k to 2.2k is what I am shooting for.  And no, I'm not interested in building my own because I would probably end up burning down my house.  So, in conclusion, I fully respect all you ultra end users that live in world of plus 40 FPS, more power to ya.

CPU: Core i5-6600K 4 core (3.5GHz) - overclock to 4.3 | RAM: (1066 MHz) 16GB
MOBO: ASUS Z170 Pro |  GeForce GTX 1070 8GB | MONITOR: 2560 X 1440 2K

Go grab a 6900xt and you might already hit those numbers with just a simple upgrade. If not, you can always return the card. Might not fit in your case though.

This is exactly the same story line as the release of the 3090. Its amazing how everyone was going on about how the price of GPU's was going to come down. That's never going to happen.

Intel Core i9-10900K at 5.2GHz, Corsair H115i PRO, ASUS MAXIMUS XII HERO Z490, G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 15-16-16-36, ASUS TUF Gaming GeForce RTX 3090, SAMSUNG 970 EVO PLUS M.2 2280 1TB x 3, Corsair HX Series HX1000 Watt PSU, Pimax Crystal LIght.

Those are all 3rd party sellers on Amazon gouging people, not that Amazon wouldn't try it if they thought they could get away with it without a negative public discourse forming. Prices may come down after AMD releases their next series of GPU's, but I wouldn't expect them to drop all that much. The best deals to be had were about a month ago when the 3090's were briefly on sale around $1100 to $1200, other than that, just get an AMD if the price hurts.

Massive issue with AI traffic. I think it impacts Real-Time Traffic too.

3090 TI heavily overclocked fed by an external cold water source 🙂
