Anyways Hopefully this beta fixes the random CTD's i have been getting with certain AC. Have been using the PMDG since the beta started because the chances of copping a CTD for me has been higher with the FENIX and ive also had a CTD with the A310.

Lol, a mistake you’ll only make once!

Well now my simulator is useless. It got stuck on downloading the update of 0 for 0. I forced closed it now it doesn't launch at all. No splash screen. Nothing.. Opening the Xbox app shows it's downloading something but not downloading anything

Edit: I tried cancelling the update and this POS deleted my entire install..  Asobo is trash

That's the intent. 

Asobo.. Do better. The strange thing is all 285GB still exists on my drive, 

Edit: Even retrying to reinstall. Nothing. Zero download speed. What an awful operation. My entire installation of over a year is screwed.

What in blazes does this mean?  A way too vague.  "Outdated", what is the definition of outdated...how the heck am I supposed to know where the line is for outdated, I have 100s of sceneries installed, "unexpected impact"... what does this mean, what will happen will it blow up? Will all my add-ons be deleted?, just what exactly is the unexpected impact?  And finally, on performance and behaviour?  What!  Will all my scenery addons not show?  Do I have to move to a temp folder then add them one at at time?  Or can I just use the linker, deactivate and then launch and then reactivate.  It doesn't say this..

What a ridiculous opening statement without solutions.

All 100+ of them are "outdated" in the beta because they were written for an earlier release of the simulator.

How long did you wait?  I had that as well but let it sit for about 5 min then it ran.  I can understand your frustration - but remember this is a beta....  things get screwed up.

Did you try a Windows restore point?

Normally I don't respond to posts like "this is trash" but since I once had a similar problem: I solved it by trying various repair options, like starting from the Microsoft Store instead of the desktop icon, or this right click flightsimulator.exe, context menu option:

Just a note on "Repair" vs. "Reset" - they mean what they say. Repair will try to fix what's broken but leave everything else alone. A Reset on the other hand is destructive - all your settings will be gone and I think it wipes out the Community directory. I've done both an I can tell you I regretted "Reset", but I was pretty much out of options at that time. Reset is is an "if all other options have failed" step. In any case BACK UP THAT COMMUNITY FOLDER!!!
