The news about 2024 hasn't and won't change my buying habits. If something interesting will be released I will buy it and enjoy it. I live NOW and not in the future. No one knows what the future will bring but I do know what I can do today. Besides, I do think that MSFS 2024 will not be a completely new sim but more or less a paid update (even if it needs a seperate install) so I've got no real worries. But even then... if MSFS 2024 would turn out to be a COMPLETELY new sim which would require me to buy ALL my beloved addons again I wouldn't change my buying habits for the reason mentioned above.

I will be buying some Orbx stuff in their next sale.

MSFS, HP Reverb G2, Gigabyte B760 32Gb, Samsung 970 EVO, Geforce RTX 4070-TI, Win11, i7-14700KF, Thrustmaster T16000M, Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

I just bought the ATR 72, and will buy any Airbus / Boeing / Embraer worth the buy airliner.

I am also still trying to decide what ATC program to invest in.

Gliders of quality are yet another strong option.

The helicopters so far didn't impress me 😕

Flying gliders since 1980

Flightsimming since 1992

AMD Ryzen 5600x, 32GB RAM, GPU Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8 GB, 1 TB and 500 GB nvme2 SSD drives, HP 27" 60Hz LED monitor @ 1920x1080, T16000, Hotas from old X52 Pro, Saitek Combat Rudder Pro (2010 model)

I'm continuing on as normal, if something takes my fancy I'll buy it, I tend to live for today and not worry (too much) about tomorrow.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

"2024" will be a different thing apparently, i don't even know if i'm going for it left alone deciding upon purchases for MSFS. I tend to enjoy what i have at present.

CASE: Fractal Terra Silver CPU: AMD R5 7800X3D 5.0Ghz RAM: 32GB DDR5 6000 GPU: nVidia RTX 4070 Ti SUPER · SSDs: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB M.2 PCIe · PNY XLR8 CS3040 2TB M.2 PCIe · VIDEO: LG-32GK650F QHD 32" 144Hz FREE/G-SYNC · MISC: Thrustmaster TCA Airbus Joystick + Throttle Quadrant · MSFS2024 · Windows 11

Still purchasing as prior to the announcement, adding ENGM at the weekend.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x3d, MSI X570 Pro, 32 gb DDR4 3600 ram, Gigabyte 6800 16gb GPU, 1x 2tb Samsung  NvMe , 1x 2tb Sabrent NvME, 1x Crucial 4tb Nvme M2 Drive

Bought the new Orbx/Marcus Nyberg ESSA yesterday.
Will buy the AS/Jo Sund ENGM (whenever it's ready).
Will buy Flightbeam's KSFO (whenever it's ready).
Will buy the JustFlight RJ85/RJ100 (whenever it's ready).
Will buy FlyTampa's EHAM and OMDB (if they're ever finished).
Will buy the upcoming Orbx YMML (if it reviews well).
May be interested in purchasing the PMDG 777 (if it reviews well).

Why would I deprive myself of enjoying these add-ons, bearing in mind we don't know when MSFS2024 will arrive?

AMD Ryzen 5800X3D; MSI RTX 3080 Ti ; 32GB Corsair 3200 MHz; ASUS VG35VQ 35" (3440 x 1440)
Fulcrum One yoke; Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack Airbus edition; MFG Crosswind rudder pedals; miniCockpit FCU; CPFlight MCP 737; Logitech FIP x3; TrackIR

MSFS; Fenix A320; A2A PA-24; HPG H145; PMDG 737-600; AIG; RealTraffic; PSXTraffic; FSiPanel; REX AccuSeason Adv; FSDT GSX Pro; FS2Crew RAAS Pro; FS-ATC Chatter

2024 will be so close to our current 2020 that i guess most of the updates will be on both versions parallel (e.g. ATC). I dont stop buying, will enjoy the stuff now and later in 2024.

I rarely buy addons  for MSFS 2020 anyway, so not really a concern of mine.

I will continue to buy, but a lot more selectively. Previously my purchases sat unused for months before first use as I naively thought MSFS 2020 would be around for many years to come. MS2024 will definitely reduce my spend but not stop it entirely.

Well since 2024 was announced last week with the trailer, are u still buying stuff for 2020?  For me, I will not be buying anything until 2024 is coming out.

Why?

Made no difference to me. I'll keep buying, they've made their statement, it's good enough for me.

Same here.

Ok, if a dev were to offer rescue missions and such, I wouldn’t buy that. Or Bilbao airport.
