so im about 35%, and I see I can select between 3 different packages to upgrade (standard, premium and deluxe). The download speed is 0.0mb/s, and going up to 0.25mb/s from time to time. I cant really select the packages. I click one, and a white border is visible, and then goes away.

Me too. What's that about?

I really hope so.  Just tried mine.  Spinning circle (but not too often), and kept getting the disconnected / reconnected message.  Obviously mine hasn't updated as I am on the final beta (now known as SU14).
Also, I can't make any progress on the only aircraft update in the content manager (enhanced DC-3), so servers are getting hammered probably.

I will reboot my PC and try again a bit later.

Yes, today's going to be a nightmare for downloading anything from the MSFS servers. I wanted to treat myself to something from Marketplace but I think I'll wait a day or two even for that!    Tis nice for us SU14 beta boys (and girls) not having to go through this update pain that others are having. 😄  I wouldn't have had time for that - I've got a broken FSS P2012 that I need to try the 43rd reinstall of.  Busy busy! 😃

This version is the same version as the beta.

Yes, that's why I said 'as suspected' - maybe most post wasn't clear.  I mean even though I wasn't expecting an update, I hope they turn the extra telemetry off for beta users that was put in specifically for this beta.
I am assuming this was causing the spinning circle bottom right while the beta telemetry was working. I could be wrong and it may just be another regression!

you'd think MS would've got a grip on overloaded servers after all these decades in computing, but no, it's like being back on dial-up 14.4k modem!

No it isn't. My dial-up used to actually download data. This is at 0 Mbits/s.

Frankly, it's unacceptable.

Cinnamon jelly beans are the disgusting work of the devil and don't trust anyone that states otherwise. I can't imagine the despicable and sick mind that paints them red so they look like delicious strawberry or raspberry.

Sorry, I'm bored and eating (word not allowed) as I'm waiting for this to download.

Aren't you in the beta?

yep! but I fear even the process of marking my version as final can mess something with increased traffic demand on their servers.

I believe MFS has been a great testbed for this whole Cloud / Azure technology given the stellar number of users all around the Globe, all doing photogrammetry and Bing maps with streaming, online traffic, Azure-based speech synthesis and the like ...

BTW, it's now almost assumed Win 12 will get released around June 2024, tailored to the new AI technology, and I imagine MFS 2024 will probably benefit even more from that.

What beta version are you on? if it is the latest then your sim won't even need to update.
