too bad.  I for one would have loved it to be the 717

TFDI did one for P3D, they could make a version for MSFS after the MD-11

yeah I flew it often.  Like it alot.  But they have been lukewarm on stating they intend to bring it to msfs.  It was great in p3dv4, but had some issues with v5

Apparently other simmers have found the 717 entry in the EFB file before and Makris from PMDG said they are not doing a 717.

Oh that's good to hear if it turns out to be true. As a few others are saying, and as you can probably guess from me, the B727, a classic and iconic Boeing airliner would be the best outcome. I mean, we have the B737, we will have the B777 and the B747. But if their new project is from the B757/767/787 stable, then they have just added more twin engine airliners with little difference other than MTOW and range. In contrast, a B727 adds three engines, some better aesthetics than todays' wind tunnel lookalikes and adds a classic to their jet age airliner fleet with an enviable history. Terrorism, African 'cargo' runs, bank robbers, hijacking, and the infamous Lolita Express, popular with cargo and charter airlines, oil spill response, zero gravity flights, Trump Force One  to name a few. Oh and for over a decade, more 727s were built per year for the airlines than any other jet airliner according to Wiki.  I know a lot folks won't feel the same way, but then, they have probably never experienced a sporty take-off in a B727 or the use of its unique high lift devices and 40 degree flaps to land on rwys as short as 4500ft.

As the referee in a game of rugby says to the video ref, "Can you give me a reason why I cannot award the  try?" ... to the B727.  👏

Cheers

Terry

No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.

Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower!

Boeing Thrustmaster TCA Yoke, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, Turtle Beach Velocity One Rudder Pedals.

I have heard that Robert Randazzo owns a Dassault Falcon business jet. If he does, then the team would (presumably) have full access to this for 3D modelling/systems/audio recordings etc. That sounds like a reasonable bet to me.

I wouldn't mind seeing an 'Express' line reintroduced again. The Beechcraft 1900D (20 year anniversary just went by last month) and (holds breath) J41 would be instant purchases for me. Obviously it will NOT be an MD-11..my late night cargo runs are very much a thing of the past now.

It's surely more like a full flight operations Office. A simulated FBO. Might also extend towards something like a "pilot's life" experience... with carreer mode... After all Robert was also a fan of flight assignement ATP and I remember home from the message boards in the early nineties of the last Century...

This is what I believe it can be.

I'd take a PMDG long range business jet...  Falcon 7x/8x pretty puleaaase.  Or a Global - i dont even need those new fancy avionics, just anything long range... mach .90 cruise 🙂

Yes! Enough with the VLJ's, give me something >$30 million

I suspect something like this is probably closer to the truth.

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

I would really like to see a larger bizjet done by PMDG. Maybe something mid 2000s like a Challenger 300 or Gulfstream G200. I think they would sit nicely within their product catalogue. Other than that, I would love to see a 747 classic series. Add in the virtual flight engineer from the DC6 and that would be something special.

All interesting guesses 🙂

I keep coming back to what RSR and Mathijs said earlier about this being a new product *line* (Mathijs emphasized: "It's not a new product but a product LINE") .. And the other key clue is that it's unannounced. So if it's indeed an aircraft, it has be part of a new series, Boeing or non-Boeing. This combined with the recent response by Mathijs of "warm" to someone speculating about 757, 767, or non-aircraft leads me to think it's a non-aircraft project. I wouldn't classify a 757/767 or similar as a new "product line" .. but then again a 7x7 and its variants as a whole could be considered as such I guess?

Like JYW I too hope it's an aircraft project rather than not.

And if non-aircraft, can it really be GFO though since it was already announced a while back?

Most of that is GFO, and we already know about it. I don't think they would develop two similar applications like that.

I am going with a 727 package!

That would be a dream!   The only thing that might scupper that idea is that FS Reborn are already working on a 727 and these devs tend to do their market research and often even respect existing developments of aircraft.

They call every aircract type a product line. The 737 with its variants, the 777 with its variants, etc. So a 757-200, -300 and freighter would qualify as a product line. Same for any aircraft.

I personally doubt very much it's anything other than an aircraft.

I think the term “project” is an interesting choice.  Leads me to believe it is not an airplane.
