March 1, 20242 yr I watched a couple of videos on this and came to the conclusion that it did not have any benefit for me, but once it becomes public andreplaces both G Force Experience and the Control Panel, I guess it will tidy things up a little. March 1, 20242 yr For the filters you do not need to use this app, they also come along with GeForce Experience (not a beta). Although it has its drawback, I would rather use GF Experience instead, as it might be a more matured software. Not 100% if those novel RTX filters can be selected with GF Experience only, but I guess so. BTW: for GF Experience, just make absolutely sure it does not autoconfigure your games, otherwise it will mess up everything. As long as you do not let GF Experience do anything else than providing you the freestyle filters, it is ok. I guess this will be THE advantage of the novel nVIDIA App in future when it is out of beta, that it does not need GF Experience for the filters and such. Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024
March 1, 20242 yr I want to see this succeed, but I had too many problems so I uninstalled it, and I will wait for it to stabilise a bit. MSFS seemed fine, but some older applications we having a few problems, switching resolutions on their own, then crashing to desktop when putting them back to their original screen resolution, and with one the Windows task bar was completely gone every time I quit the game. This can be a bit of a problem! I had to get it back by crtl-alt-del to get to Task Manager, then processes, then scroll down to windows explorer.exe and 'restart task'. After uninstallation, everything was back to normal just using NVCP and NV Experience. The new app is the way to go, and it will get there in the end no doubt. March 1, 20242 yr I guess no harm in trying it, since GEForce experience has been broken for me for months.

AirNott has done previous videos with the filters on the old app and this new vid was to showcase the brand new AI filter. March 1, 20242 yr Try RTX HDR. Looks better than native HDR implementation IMO. Turn on hdr in windows. Launch game and turn off hdr if it's turned on. Quit game. Turn on rtx hdr in global settings in the app. Launch game and double check if the in-game hdr is still off. (In game hdr should always be off if you want to use rtx hdr. Applies to all games.) Press ALT + Z and configure RTX HDR as per your preference. Baber My Youtube Channel http://www.youtube.com/user/HDOnlive
March 1, 20242 yr It says in the video, that this replaces Nvidia Control Panel. I must have NCP, because I use the "Expand Display with Surround" feature in NCP. As soon as I use this old Expand feature, MSFS suddenly offers me twice the resolution in the options settings than it did before. So that when I drag the MSFS window across two screens I have twice the resolution compared to doing the exact same window dragging, if not using "Expand". This of course cuts back the fps, but it's like way more sharper image and there is no other way to get this sharpness with DLSS or any other tricks. Expand also has the "bezel correction" feature which totally eliminates the distortion in the vertical line down the center of the image from the two side bezels of the monitors. To me, Nvidia Control Panel is a necessity, not a luxury. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. March 1, 20242 yr Not that bad....actually so far better than V1, plus HUD is working. On previous version I couldn't get that to work. Alex
March 2, 20242 yr G Forcexperience and NCP will be removed in a future update and the APP will replace them. Edited March 2, 20242 yr by G-RFRY Raymond Fry.

In a way I dread that day as I’ve become very familiar with NCP. I’m also happy not using GeForce experience as I always do a clean/DDU install of the driver and unselect everything except the essential. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
