Well I'm not a betting man but if I were to guess their next project is to complete GFO. That is my 5$ worth. Book it.

I remember when they announced that.  I actually thought it looked really good.  They had quite a few screenies of that and their ACARS.  Wasn't that announced at the first EXPO when FS2020 was announced?

Every time there is a thread about PMDG, the bashing soon begins.

There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about.

The 'secret project' is probably going to be just as exciting as that secret project with which they drove the community mad during the FSX days

I'm pretty sure it was announced before 2020. 2018/2019 maybe. I will look it up.

Edit I cant find anything on this project not Youtube one PMDG site or what ever but it is cooking for sure.

So Mathijs said they're going to FSWeekend and will announce their 'secret project'. Then they cancel the appearance. Now RSR claims there is no secret project.

Really doesn't sound like the Marketing Division (as Mathijs calls himself) is insync with the rest of the company...

Just like when he was at Aerosoft. He talks and talks but yet never delivers.

I was away all weekend, just read the update now.

This is what i got out of it =>

Yep, that's it, they didn't say anything really, did they?

Robert posted this on the PMDG forum. The 777 (followed shortly by the 737) will have full PANS-OPS compliance. Apparently aircraft from other devs do not, according to him (not sure how accurate that is.) Great news, nevertheless.

Many many developers beat us to using Navigraphs new format, but part of the time lag for us was the implementation of the entire ARINC 424/PANS-OPS with full compliance for all leg types. This is a pretty significant change, and while many developers have been reading the ARINC 424 for some time, they aren't actually doing the full suite of path computations with associated control logic to ensure the airplane complies with the defined path for specific procedural legs.

Let us hope that this puts an end to all of the PMDG hater comments.

He's attempting to throw other devs under the bus with his they're not doing ARINC 424 / PANS-OPS properly, but we are statement. Completely unnecessary.

PMDG is late to the game on ARINC 424 (which is nothing but a format), is trying to bamboozle its customers with jargon, and is attempting to position itself as a superior dev. This is in spite of other devs beating them to the punch as he himself admitted half a sentence earlier.

Not the first time and will not be the last anyone part of the team is allowed to break the rules but those that aren’t get warned.

He wasn’t being disrespectful to other developers.  It was a factual statement.  Now, if he said “we are able to do X because other developers don’t have that capability” then I would agree with you.  But he didn’t.

Ahhh. I’m just at the point where I wish NO developer would make ANY announcements about a project/product until release day.

Besides eliminating confusion, it would also help keep this (& other) forum(s) so much cleaner reducing many threads and posts that spin out of control.

It would also help some developers from sounding like words not allowed.

He needs to show some proof... come on, the 777 was supposed to be released by now and they don't even have some substantial previews ready?
