June 14, 20241 yr I had a go with this mod and I have a 4090. My findings are, that it does increase the smoothness of the panning but if you pan fast, then narrow vertical structures like poles suffer 'tearing' artefacts. Frankly, if you have native FG, this isn't worth the artefacts. Increased mouse lag between native FG and this mod is very noticeable. If you haven't had the pleasure of native FG, then this is not worth worrying about, the advantages far outway a bit of mouse lag. If you use TAA and HDR, then the trick of alt+enter to trigger the HDR no longer works as this mod doesn't seem to switch between windowed and borderless windowed like the native sim function does. This can be overcome by using a DLSS setting instead of TAA. As ever, your mileage may vary but this is how it is for me. i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

June 14, 20241 yr Interesting read, especially that now, some days later, more voices appear that say this tool is basically useless if you already use native FG on a 4000 series card. Wonder why. Would be interesting if those share their settings, to me it seems that setting a max frame rate in NVCP is key for the tool to shine. Still have to try it myself though... So yeah, I'm wondering why too. I'm waiting for someone to stack this, the FG mod and native FG on top just to see if they can get steam to come out of their monitor for a 4D cloud effect. Won't be long now 😆 Edited June 14, 20241 yr by El Diablito B450 Tomahawk Max / Ryzen 7 5800x3D / RTX 3060ti 8G / Noctua NH-UI21S Max Cooling / 32G Patriot RAM / 1TB NVME / 450G SSD / Thrustmaster TCA & Throttle Quadrant / Xiaomi 32" Wide Curved Monitor 1440p 144hz

I’ve only used lossless since yesterday, so take this with a grain of salt. IMO lossless scaling might be useful for those situations where one wants to run a very high AI traffic setting at major hubs (EGLL, KLAX, KJFK etc). With my hardware, I’m severely CPU/mainthread-limited in these situations. Hence, my initial impression is that lossless scaling is not necessarily useless for people with a RTX40-series card and FG. 1 hour ago, El Diablito said: ..it works better than the FG mod or at least on a par performance wise without the stuttering around menus etc, plus you don't need DX12 for it to run and those who have 4090 cards have no business even considering using it because they don't need it, at all. Like I mentioned earlier in this thread, my 12900KF+4090 (with native FG) combo gave me average 38 FPS at KJFK with AIG traffic at 100%. So I would have to disagree with your statement. June 14, 20241 yr I'm LOST ... Should I go LOSSLESS ? With my settings, always rather conservative since I just recently enabled Traffic and started using apps like FSHUD and now BATC for ATC and FSLTL (maybe AIG too in the future..), I have set VSync at 50% in sim, to be able to get as close to 30 FPS as possible. My monitor is a vanilla LG with 60H refresh rate so, supposedly running LSFG with a 2x factor could give me a stable 60 FPS, right ? Yes, if you follow the set up from the OP, you will get this amount of FPS. Just keep HDR off in the app and you will be fine. I use the same card. So I would have to disagree with your statement. I am in the absolutely same boat with my 13600K and a 4080. Around 35 FPS on KJFK, EGLL is even worse (both Inibuilds sceneries). But while the slow panning and moving around with the drone indeed feels more smooth using x3 in LSFG, moving fast results in a regular rubber-band feeling (hard to describe). It is not a real stutter, but it feels like the drone is attached to a rubber-band. Means: while the movement of the camera is smooth, it is not uniform. And that annoys me like hell tbh. Also just tried one time now on EGLL with FPS limited to 47 (I have a 144Hz monitor set to 141 FPS via inspector). Will try 30 FPS limit next time. And without FG I will also try. However, with my TV monitor, my FS settings and my rig I repeat that this tool is completely beneficial, including for someone with an RTX4090. I have gained in fluidity and I can finally go back to DX11 while maintaining a completely acceptable FPS level and without the graphical drawbacks of DX12. Hope it makes sense! Yeah me neither, this will cause a highly oversaturated overlay onto your screen if you have it selected. Other than that if you copy the OP's settings you will be good but of course you can play around to see what works for your particular system. All in all you will defo be surprised of your results.
