June 15, 20241 yr I used to have "liquid banding" no end.I'm using TrackIR and the gen mod.Whenever I moved my head the "liquid wave" would follow.I tried selecting,in scaling type, AMD FSR and the "liquid" thing is almost gone !

With ridiculously high traffic settings at JFK, native 15 FPS only, yes. I.e. 30 with native FG. Then I could either go x2 = 60 or x3 = 90. My problem is that I get very bad screen tearing, as LSS is not compatible with G-Sync. Am I right in thinking that I should not get any tearing if I lock FPS to 60 FPS and set monitor refresh rate to 60Hz? Just trying to find a setting that gives the least amount of tearing. Hopefully I won't get another double or triple post when I hit "submit reply" 😅😱 Edited June 15, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Please remember that MSFS' fullscreen mode is actually a borderless window. What I did was disabling Freesync in my monitor, and then VRR gets disabled in both NCP and Windows settings. With that, and nothing set in NCP or MSFS regarding V-Sync and Triple Buffering, DWM takes care of all that and then there's no tearing at all. At least that's what happens in my system. Normally I have g-sync, v-sync and ultra low latency enabled in NCP. By DWM, do you mean WGC? I'll try with your recommended settings, thanks. Btw, from the app: Quote "For WGS capture, the game's frame rate must be locked at half the LS frame rate (which can be limited by the vsync option). A minimum of 60fps in game and a 120Hz monitor are recommended for best quality." EDIT: I'm more confused than ever. Maybe I'll try again in a few days, or I'll run the risk of disappearing down a rabbit hole 😅 Edited June 15, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

I still fail to see the logic, but maybe I'll get lucky and suddenly the tearing disappears. EDIT: With g-sync off in NCP, the overlay on my TV shows 120Hz fixed. So maybe I'm getting closer to a solution. Edited June 15, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
June 15, 20241 yr So, 120 fps max in the NCP global settings (your refresh rate) and either 60 or 40 fps max in MSFS tab depending on whether you pick 2x or 3x in LSS. Hopefully that helps.

June 15, 20241 yr so do I set 120 frames on global NCP even though my max is 240 for my monitor? then 60 on Rivatuner settings for fix refresh rate? Ive notice really smooth performance on 48 frames locked on RivaTuner. What are your thoughts? June 15, 20241 yr Stunning! Miracle is the correct word for non-RTX 4000 series GPU owners. Buying the app is the best £5.80 I've ever spent. Flew the Fenix A320 into iniBuilds' EGLL over Orbx London, followed by the Fenix in the pattern to/from Drzewiecki's KEWR and SamScene3D's NYC, culminating in a go-around and divert to iniBuilds' KJFK. Yes, there are some artefacts and still the odd stutter here and there. Yet with DynamicLOD also running, for once I didn't care about how much AI traffic was around. Given all the bells and whistles I usually throw at my sim, it has never felt so smooth as with this app running. June 16, 20241 yr Thinking of trying this out, I am using the framegen mod on a 3080ti which i am quite happy with. I should have taken a screen shot of the folder with the extra .dll files etc before putting in the FG MOD , now i am not sure what dll,s should be in there or not. would anyone have a screen shot or info on what the original folder looked like before using the FG mod. or will LSFG work with the FG mod , im also using the DLSS Tweaker on profile E. Yeah tried this with FG MOD on & off ,halfed refresh rates of my 4k tv to 30hz in NCP brought my gpu to its knees , not smooth at all. so will keep an eye here , also made the sim go very heavy black gamma if that makes sense. maybe becaues im using a 4k samsung tv 60hz??? glad it only cost $10 au dollors , get the feeling its because im running the sim in 4k with almost all ultra settings on a 12gb video card. until i can afford somthing with bit more vram will stick to the FG mod + dlsstweaker , which gives me 60fps smooth most of the time PC SPECS: WINDOWS 10 X64 , Intel Core i9 9900K @ 4.9GHz, RAM: 64GB DDR4 1800MHz, MOTHERBOARD: GIGABYTE AORUS ULTRA Z390,GPU: NVIDIA ROG STRIX ROG 3080TI 12GB
