I didnt click the link because these comments are way too entertaining. Can someone reasonably summarize what was updated for the rest of us that read this and had a good laugh?

  • First post is an RSR bash, that has to be a record even for a PMDG related post...  They are usually at least 3 or 4 posts in. Thank you for your contribution to my informational post for PMDG 77

What is the matter with some of you? Is it so word not allowed difficult to read something that is more than one sentence long?

I did one flight after the hotfix (EKCH-EDDL), everything went well, no issues. Was impressed by VNAV which was very accurate from cruise FL360 to FAP 3000ft. The 777 is quickly becoming one of my fav

Fixed some freezes and crashes - that's really all we know. No real patch notes.

(Raises hand)

"Oooooh pick me pick me pick me!!!"

"Yes. To summarize. Got it."

"PMDG is terrible but I love PMDG. They talk too much or they talk too little. They are the worst and best developer ever."

How was that?

I'm just not really excited by this plane I feel like I'm "flying" more with the 738.  The sounds are still terrible and is the cockpit geometry correct? Also the plane just feels like when you're interacting with it there's no life to it.  Anyways I didn't pay full price for it as I still had store credit left.  I'll give it a few updates and see how I feel about it again.  I'd rather do longer flights with the Fenix A320/738 as it's more exciting...  Was looking forward to a big boy plane to fly and honestly the A310 feels like how a big heavy long hauler plane should be.

I think it's important to note that a 737 and a 777 are quite different in many aspects. The PMDG 738 feels overly sensitive compared to the real one, whereas the 777 is getting closer to the real experience but still needs some adjustments. In terms of the cockpit, everything seems fine, although the ND and PFD look a bit smaller than I remember. I'm not sure what is meant by "there's no life to it."

Maybe I need to get to used to the FBW system.  I use the Honeycomb Yoke and the 738/A310 feels fun whilst the 777 is like meh.

Where is the Hotfix for 737 line that is still broken since Sim update 15?

Maybe it is taking some time to fix? They have already confirmed that a statistically significant number of users are affected by it, so they are working to resolve it.

Maybe you're just Boeing over-saturated?

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

My 777 1st testflight around EDDF ended in frozen controls, equipment, engine sounds, screens after 20 min flight on approach to 07R. So far so bad for hotfix 2.

Stop judging cockpit geometry from looking at a flat monitor. They laser scanned the entire thing, it cannot be not correct.

And by what metric do you judge the sounds? Real world experience on the airframe? Other than being a passenger?

What is amazing is the fact that several high time, line certified Boeing Pilots have made Youtube videos on the 777, and raved about it , the way it looks, and it's performance. But, on the other hand, the high time paper airplanes pilot experts on Avsim, tell us how it is terrible, nothing is right about it, and they say it is NG...😉.

How typical, reminds me about all the drama about engines sounds on the LH Maddog, and recalling talking about that with a friend who used to be Captain for Meridiana, sometimes flying it 4 times per day, saying "you had to check at the engine instruments to know if engines are running, there's no way you could hear them from the cockpit"
