That whole AI fad LOL I just figured people would have appreciated a heads up that the hotfix is out, I didn't mean to start another RSR critique and bash fest. This is obviously going to be nothing more than a critique of RSR and his writing style so moderators as the OP, please feel free to close this thread down. People can get their information elsewhere and they can read the hotfix is out even if the thread is locked. Shame. Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Lets face it, on Avsim, if you post that the "Sun Came up today", an immediate flame war would erupt, with some asking you why you had the nerve to post that...😡

I'll set aside the personal insult to maybe another time. What is irritating is the same suspects constantly jumping on posts from PMDG which are meant to keep customers informed. If you don't like the posts either: a) Do not read them b) Don't buy the product so you don't have to read them c) If you can't do a) or b) the rest of us are tired of listening to complaints about the way the information is presented. We get you don't like PMDG or their boss. We don't need to hear it repeated each time they make an announcement. Is that clear enough? David Porrett

For your reasons alone brevity in prose should always be RSRs goal when communicating to his now very large and very international customer base. Nuff said. -B
June 28, 20241 yr You can always count on the contents of an Avsim PMDG thread is everything but the actual title. [MSI MPG X870E Carbon | 9800X3D (PBO +200Mhz / -20 Offset) | Corsair 64GB DDR5 (Custom Timings) | RTX 4090 Founders Edition (Undervolted) | WD SNX 850X 4TB + 4TB | Antec Flux Pro]

PS…prior to the patch I found the managed component of a managed descent was somewhat lacking. Hard altitude constraints we treated more as “hopefully” as opposed to mandatory. I haven’t tested since hotfix application but am on a 3.5 hr flight that hits TOD in 50 minutes so I might have a more informed opinion then. YMMV. TANSTAAFL -B Edited June 28, 20241 yr by btacon
June 28, 20241 yr With PMDG you just know what you are going to get, quality from the outset and regular updates. A hotfix already is impressive. Specs: 11900K (5ghz), 64GB ram 3600mhz, RTX 3080 ti

"...quality from the outset and regular updates. A hotfix already is impressive." Well, come to think of it, 'quality from the outset ' and 'a hotfix already' seem a bit contradictory. We get you don't like PMDG or their boss. We don't need to hear it repeated each time they make an announcement. Is that clear enough? It is indeed frustrating when a product is launched with pre-existing issues or bugs from the previous version, compounded by newly discovered ones. I wholeheartedly share your sentiments on this matter. One should ask how you keep customers informed when you ask them " IMPORTANT: Please don't ask "are you fixing X or Y." If you read the detail section below, you will see that we have a methodology- and a long window in which to work.. I appreciate your understanding." . Customers would appreciate what are the actual problems you acknowledge and existing ones. A real bullet list will be appreciated versus an empty statement like " Some issues related to, A couple of operational bugs, We have a handful of critical fixes, " . All I can see is some excellent features in this product that are shadowed by many bugs brought from the 737, plus an unfinished FBW trim speed system and some odd behavior flight characteristics for this airplane flown in manual mode. You wonder, as usual where was/is quality and pre-release check. Lately, every release has been rushed with unsatisfactory expectations. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
