While I know PMDG products are considered among the best, it's also true that they are also among the most expensive. And although they are some of the most expensive, are you telling me that the sound sucks..? No, it's a bunch that want cabin sounds, because they have no flightdeck experience... People seem to think the only issue is people not wanting cockpit sounds, wanting it to sound like the cabin. While this is the case sometimes, you are seeming to think of this as a binary issue. Even if the sounds on the PMDG 777 sound like they are recorded from the cockpit, that doesn't mean the sounds are good. You are not factoring in things like actual quality of all the sounds, spool up, sound frequency and many more. Back to your point. If they went thru the trouble of including cabin views, that tells me they find it important. So if they are going to do that, probably having proper cabin sounds is also the way to go. 5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW and 2 22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU, 360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next
July 5, 20241 yr I bought their sound pack for the Longitude. After an update, the sound pack stopped working. Tried to get support through various channels. No such luck. Plus, why do I have to get a Patreon subscription to "purchase" your addons? What's next? I'll need an Only Fans account to access the sim?

There's not enough eye bleach in the world that could help unsee the typical flight simmer in a typical OnlyFans pose... 🤢 😆 Patreon for add-ons is a problem, though. It opens up simple flight sim mods as SaaS. Instead, a 'simple' product (i.e. a one-off sound pack) should be a simple one-off cost. If you had any flightdeck experience you would know that the "whine" and "buzzsaw" you hear from a jet engine should change dynamically with airspeed and altitude both. Ive talked with pmdgs sound guy about this and they refuse to acknowledge this point. The ftsim pack fixes this issue among other issues with the pmdg sounds such as the "air raid siren" at mid level n1. July 5, 20241 yr OK, I joined to download the sounds, not sure about installing them yet, I see some file has to be edited each time the aircraft is updated. Edited July 5, 20241 yr by Bobsk8
