Friendly reminder to check your spam folder if you didn't get an invite email... You would think an email to an outlook.com email address coming from a Microsoft product wouldn't be flagged as spam. Missed out on some flying last night as a result but happy to start testing for the rest of the weekend!

I just copied from 2020 community to 2024 community, Orbx London city pack, EGLC apt, and UK North , Central, South. And redid flight from EGLC. It looks way better everywhere!

But I had to wait before takeoff for that all to load, over a minute and then fly.

I experienced that yesterday in MSFS2020 when flying into Hong Kong Kai Tak. Autogen buildings emerging into view less than a kilometre ahead of my aircraft on final.

Seems Asobo is sticking to the 'tried and tested' model of aggressive LODs to preserve performance. It's disappointing to read that continues to be the case in the new sim.

Try disabling the live air traffic and all ground aircraft to 0.

Other than the performance and speed of execution, it's really not crazy at all !!!. Lod distance and the fall colors are just horrible. Already 8 hours of flight to several places and in the end a good dose of disappointment. Is this really the latest bing map? The reassuring thing is that this is an Alpha version, right? everything will become incredibly magical.

Scenery fading in and out, I have much less the 2nd time I try the same flight. Or later in the same flight. It goes away then. I think it may be a cache problem.

South Korea has new imagery, notably around Incheon.

I think you can copy planes from the 2024 community folder to 2020. Ymmv.

I did notice the moving trains still worked as well. Other airports seemed to either work well or had things like elevation issues, mismatched ground textures, and most prevalent: Lod issues and runway texture conflicts.

Looks like they partnered with a South Korean company since all the military bases in 2024 are censored unlike 2020.

yes we can and scenery as well, but avionics are often inop, might require minor updates or a newer MSFS 2024 build:

So i can load a flight with the PMDG 737 but i'm stuck on the walkaround cam.  Anyone have insight into which key combo gets me into the cockpit? the camera buttons do nothing.  I dumped a good deal of my community folder into 2024 just to see if it would handle it and it did cause it to crash.  I loaded up NYC with RKBridger, drzewiecki KEWR and the PMDG 737.  It got to the Fly now screen then hung and crashed.  I tried again with just the PMDG 737 in Miami and it loaded but i couldn't get to the cockpit.  Plane looks great with the new lighting.
