First things I'm going to look out for:

  • Ground resolution and markings (because we have a major airport in the works 😉 )
  • Night lighting
  • Flight dynamics

Got my PPL!

Noticed a LOT of differences flying. First, Its not stuck to the runway, I increased throttle and the plane moved. Much easier to get a good taxi speed. Second, The terrain around my home airport is MUCH better, trees and all. Third, landing was WAY different. Much easier to loose control if you do something crazy. Felt much better to me.

Bad part right now. My computer is an OVEN. Will need to play with settings to get it to where 2020 was.

This is after the first mission. Yeah, I'm not great lol. Had to fly a mother and daughter on a sightseeing tour in my home town.

Looks like im getting the very short end of the server stick.. taking ages to load anything even in game. Gonna wait till tommorow afternoon to give it a try. Also .. ugh no controller profile for the TCA yoke... thats a real pain.

As long as it's not thermal throttling, just consider it a bonus space heater for your room.

The alpha build is hilarious and janky in some ways (the robot voice reading out literally everything I mouse over is getting old...), but my overall first impressions are very positive.

Atmospheric lighting is great. At night the cars on the road have head/tail lights that shine on the road, which is a nice effect.

Ground/flight handling feel MUCH better, including the trim sensitivity!

The photogrammetry in my city is mostly the same, however there are noticeable improvements, especially trees not encroaching/overlapping with buildings. In fact, in 2020 my city/county building is just a messy mix w/ trees, but now it's distinct from the trees surrounding it.

Performance has felt really good---very smooth, no stutters, all on ultra (4090 + 7800x3D), though I don't check FPS because I've never had a reason to.

That's an accessibility feature that's turned on by default, it can be turned off in the accessibility menu.

Thank you! I guess I'd be happy with it if I were blind 😁

OMG the screen narrator was driving me insane until I thought to look in accessibility settings....
