... To me the Fenix is the ultimate experience when it comes to flying, feel, user interface and seamless integration with GSX etc. the texturing is also the most realistic inside and out.

This is my feeling exactly.

I did 3 flights in a day with the latest (Sharklets) update and it was sublime each time and I never do more than one flight a day fwiw.

For me, FSlabs is like an old, ex-friend that I hoped I'd not run into again. Bad memories and bad vibes. Where with Fenix, I genuinely like these guys. Did you read the release notes with the Sharklet update?

Harsh, I know. But I still feel robbed after paying $70 for Sharklets for an aircraft that chugged along in P3d.

  • Hey - just wanted to clarify a couple bits here as I've also been slightly misquoted, so figured I'd keep things purely factual. Firstly, for our intents and purposes we own the code running Feni

  • Too little too late.

  • Indeed. And personally, I like the Fenix much better as a developer. Their dev team (and Aamir) is SO nice and forthcoming and open with regards to their developments. I'll just stick with the Fenix.

I too was once a dedicated supporter but my biggest turnoff is their attitude towards the customers.

Now I wanted to make my own A320. There is something promising in this.

Never in life.  Remember the test.exe file to grab passwords?

Good ole vigilante justice.  This never bothered me one bit, but then again I actually pay for the software I use and dont steal it.  That being said it was a shady and unprofessional thing for them to do.

The idea that a company would spy on legitimate customers through a highly intrusive and arguably illegal method never bothered you?
Cuz I'm pretty sure the actual pirates got rid of that protection right quick, they weren't the ones with a key-logger lodged in their system.

That's a pretty chill way to look at things I guess.

Why does no one ever do an A340?

The only Airbus I've never flown in a flight sim.

Um, i also paid.  How am I being a vigilante?  Is it illegal to mention actual facts about this company?

They're saying FSLabs was being the vigilante.

Ok, I see.

A day late and a dollar short. These guys were incredibly innovative back in the day but it’s hard to see how they’ll dent the Airbus market with the default, FBW, ini and Fenix A320s all having shown up earlier. It’ll be interesting to see what they come up with, but I personally doubt I’ll be parting with any cash.

starting at 19:10 they talk about and show off the A330 and A321LR

Feels similar to the FBW to me.

Hadn't watched this as yet, nor the other one earlier on.

TBH, there's so many good addons coming with the sim that I'm not too sure how much I care about "study level" payware for the foreseeable future, unless it's some particularly compelling/rare/differentiated aircraft.

I’m surprised their announcement was for an Airbus. I really thought it would be for Concorde. We P3D users have gone a year since the last update. Several important fixes remain outstanding. So the sooner a MSFS Concorde is released the sooner the P3D fixes will arrive.

It seems like this wasn't a planned announcement, so not sure if Concorde is/was intended to release first as they've previously said.

They may feel like they have to launch the Airbus right now, kinda like Aerosoft did, so they can grab whatever's left of the single-aisle Airbus market.

No idea how popular an FSL-grade Concorde might be in MSFS, so perhaps they feel the Airbus is a better source of cash...

All what you have said here is complete speculation. Who’s to say they don’t have commercial contracts which are a higher priority for them?

How about we wait for an official announcement from Lefteris before making anymore baseless comments.

Were you living under a rock? Lefteris back in October of 2020 said that FSLabs wouldn't prioritize MSFS and that they would wait for MSFS to become more mature :

Quote

As many of you are aware however, the complexity of migrating products with such a high level of fidelity as ours requires that the underlying platform, and particularly the development kit for aircraft add-ons needs to grow and mature before it can sufficiently host them at the level required. We are confident that the Asobo team has the talent to make that a reality. Until that time, we are going to keep our focus very strongly on getting our upcoming product line for Prepar3D released as previously announced.

Which part of that quote don't you understand?  And during October/November of 2020, PMDG, Fenix, and even Leonardo were already working hard to figure out the MSFS SDK, with PMDG trying to port their 737 to MSFS, Fenix trying to make their A320 for MSFS, and Leonardo trying to port their Maddog to MSFS, despite the limitations and other issues with the MSFS SDK back in 2020.  Yes, PMDG, Fenix, and Leonardo all took a risk on MSFS back in the fall of 2020, even though they were aware of the limitations of the MSFS SDK back then - FSLabs decided not to take that risk, and they paying for it today because Fenix beat them to the market.

So it was Lefteris who said FSLabs wouldn't prioritize MSFS, which was the complete opposite of PMDG, Fenix, and Leonardo.

Haha I say a little bit. So dramatic. We will see how it looks. The only screenshot is from a website that uses a screenshot. 😉
