What new features of FS24 are you looking forward to?

Featured Replies

As the title says.

The items that I am most interested in would be all the new flight modeling that has been done for lift, draft, wash etc. Seasons. The improved earth landscape. While I will enjoy all the new features, its those three reason alone as to why I will be moving from 20 to 24 once all the needed addons I like to use are available. The great thing is there is a huge amount of new or improved items to make the hassle of switching worth it in the end.

My system runs 2020 just fine but I will enjoy the new coding to help even add more fps to the mix. The quicker load times and low foot print on the SSD will be a benefit but once again not what I would upgrade for alone. Plane profiles will be welcomed but now that I have Axis and Ohs, I think I am going to take the time to add all my individual controller profiles to that since I would have to do it anyway in 24 and that way I can just use AAO for the easy switch. I do hope things like the Bravo and the lights working or some of the Saitek hardware stuff will work out of the gate tho.

I think the walk around feature is quite understated, that's gonna be cool in VR.

Pretty much the same for me and also the weather/clouds improvements, and especially all the flight dynamics and ground handling/physics improvements. That said, for third party aircraft we're going to have to wait until they take advantage of the new features and capabilities. Until then, we'll see what the improvements are based on the default fleet especially the 737 Max, A330, C172... these should at least give an indication of how good (or not) the improvements are. Really looking forward to bush flying too in 2024.

Career system is what I’m excited for and to see how it will expand over time. I feel that we are entering another golden age for flight sims and 2024 is really going to be amazing.

This. Firing 2020 up is such a slog that I have to prepare myself mentally for it.

Agreed, really looking forward to this, and I think the "how it will expand over time" comment is an important one. I'm guessing it'll be slow, but 2-4 years from now I wonder what kind of stuff we'll see added by 3rd parties.

In the meantime, just having something default in-sim is going to a lot of fun for me, I think.
