This morning I have been elevated from the 'Too Many Users' club to the esteemed '97%er' club.

I've no doubt the MSFS 2024 'Downfall' rant parody will soon be released.

Very surprisingly it's all working great for me now....except I'm really struggling with controls assignments especially with views.

But it works, no CTDs etc! 🙂

I refunded my steam purchase.  I'm sure eventually I'll move to 2024.  But not going to mess with all this for a few months.

refunded too. Might give it a week. Looks like we get to keep the water bomber for 2020

Are there stutters ?

Reboot and restart the client. I had that about half an hour ago, had been stuck on that screen for over an hour, and restarted the client and it went straight through the 2nd time, no issues.

Tried a kill and restart multiple times already?  Left it for over 30 mins still stuck on that screen hmmm

What's that about refunding and then buying it again a week later? What do you need the 140 bucks for now when you are going to pay them again next week anyway?

I don't need the money.  I just want to see that they actually get this figured out.  Microsoft has always had some server issues.  2024 is much more dependent on the servers than 2020.  So I would say it's likely they get it figured out, but not a certainty.  I lose nothing by refunding and buying later.  But if two weeks go by I lose the ability to back out

I was not talking about your example, you already said you consider to wait months. But dogmanbird talked about next week.

And that makes zero sense to me.

Are we sure that ASOBO will have all this sorted out? Haven't we learned anything from MSFS 2020?

MSFS

So, I am leaving this for a bit also.  It just isn't worth all those hours of hassle for the perceived benefit at the moment.

I already have MSFS2020 running great and I haven't even tried the A380 yet, so my thoughts are to leave it until next year when I might try again.

I paid a lot to get a 500mbs connection in, but obviously the problem is at the other end now.
I would rather have 1Tb on my SSD like with 2020 than put up with this.

We can do nothing, but wait for MS / Asobo to straighten it out. I am deeply disappointed though, and I have ongoing concerns about it being so cloud based.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

I am also afraid for Cloud based gaming

So then finally everything is up and running…
Let’s start a flight.
There it is the BANDWIDTH error.
Speedtest says 1010 Mbps…!!!

2020 all over again.
Cloud gaming is the future they say…
I wish it wasn’t

I am afraid that if you want to play MSFS 2024 it will always be a surprise if you can really play the game

MSI Tomahawk Z790, I7-13700K, DDR5 6000mhz, MSI 4090, 3x SSD 980 PRO, Corsair 360 Liguid CPU cooler, Corsair H1200V2 power.

I am sure a lot of us share those same concerns.
