November 24, 20241 yr I have no complaints about overall colours either but it seems there's a colour grading that leans towards yellow, like a mild yellow tint / hue. They really like to do this over at Asobo, in 2020 they had a very pronounced green channel, which exacerbated their 'green roads'. November 24, 20241 yr I was wandering around the UK countryside on a November evening, and there were crickets chirping. Crickets! And I can't invert the mouse in first person mode. Come on Asobo, we're flight simmers, we all invert our mice in fps games 😉 That's the extent of my complaints so far, but I've been mainly bush flying in the C152 and loving it. In certain situations maybe but with clear skies and time set to midday, looks pretty bad… Edit: I just loaded the sim up and checked again and it does indeed look good, just how I recall it being in Alpha, I have a feeling it might have to do with the aircraft I was flying earlier.. and the bloom effect and eye adaptation in the cockpit. Or it could just be server issues. But the other items I still stand by. The evening street and city lights look great then when it turns to night they look terrible. November 24, 20241 yr I wonder how many of these issues are streamed data being fed incorrectly to the simulator. Or missing data, etc due to some server overload. November 24, 20241 yr I mod in a game called Assetto Corsa, now one of the things you can do in that is filters so you can change how the game looks in a myriad of ways, its not that big of a deal that MSFS can have different colours and lighting, what is a big deal is there isn't a setting for players to tweak the colours themselves... Re selling a game for 60 odd quid because they changed the colours a bit is bizarre. Ryzen 5 3600 / RTX 2070 8GB / 2x8 RAM/
November 24, 20241 yr You nailed my experience. I have never experienced such a mess; been a flight simmer since the 80's. Might be time to find something else to do! Good luck folks!! High end with 5090, VR, 2020 & 2024.
November 24, 20241 yr I've seen enough in the times where most things have worked to think that this is going to be a great sim. Might just take a while and at the mercy of highly inconsistent servers at the moment.

November 24, 20241 yr I am having some fun with MSFS 2024! Nice flight yesterday after an interminable time getting controls to work Took off to view the Grand Canyon but as I approached it -crash! Same effect with 3 other planes Tried again this morning and all control bindings gone ! Closed sim -reloaded -all controls (Hotas Flight Controller) now working and I am in the Grand Canyon flying along admiring the terrific scenery Teething problems!? However I have MSFS 2000( P3DV5 and X Plane12) if I need to fly while MSFS 2024 has a “wobble” I am a scenery buff and the improvements in MSFS 2024 means I will persevere Onwards and upwards ! xxd09

Ignore the bottom of the 3 boxes and the top Universal box, and just use the Airplane box in the middle for profiles. And back up everything each step. Eventually all my controllers got assigned like I wanted. I can't say how it was just trial and error and change planes all the while to see if the settings carried over to the other planes. There are advanced options like repeat when pressed or non repeat. There are YT videos about this, none of which helped me. It was just trial and error. A simple 4 or 5 page manual would show us how it's all supposed to be done. A working SAVE function would presumably be the ideal solution? Seriously, the thought of messing about for ages with control settings, and then loading the simulator the next day to find that all that work has been dumped in the garbage bin would drive me nuts. Basic stuff like this should work right from the start. So the mouse and some hat switches might accelerate the faster you move / longer you hold. Also the 'freelook cockpit speed' slider in options controls both the mouse and the hat switch. My mouse is very fast, so I turned that down, which resulted in the hat switch view being ungodly slow. So I had to turn that back up which means my mouse look not only flies around, neigh on uncontrollable, it also does these massive "flicks" due to the baked in acceleration. So sometimes I'll suddenly do a 180* by moving my mouse a few inches fast. YES - I've experimented with all that you suggest. Sometimes the hat switch works as it should, the next time I start the sim it works some other way. At times during a single session the actions caused by the hat switch are fast and sometimes slow.
