Hats Off to MSFS 2024 Team

Wow

Within one week of release I'm flying the Fenx A320 using all of my peripherals (Winwing FCU, Honeycomb, Saitek etc.) BATC with live traffic and A Pilots Life almost a near perfect experience. High Altitude, low altitude this sim just amazes me. No need need to upgrade my hardware, it runs better than FS2020 does.

Approach's and finals are just breathtaking, the most immersive experience I've ever had in a flight sim bar none.

Hats off to everyone involved in the project and to all the third party developers who make this hobby such a joy.

I couldn't agree more. This will rapidly evolve into an immersive and very competent simulation platform. Those teams must have been working so hard in the past few months and I am grateful for their efforts; I enjoy this hobby a great deal and without Asobo and Microsoft's backing I likely would have left flight simulation by now.

I know! I was really surprised by this. It does run better here too and best of all, there doesn't seem to be that transition hick-up between ground contact and airborne and visa-versa. Really great.

I can second that...did my standard LFSB-LSGG short test flight with the fenix with GSX Passengers, FSDT LFSB, Jetstream LSGG, very nice night experience with stunning visuals and smooth 60 FPS all the time with tons of AI and used BATC...love it!

Finally took the plunge and installed - So glad I waited for at least as far as the install process went it went pretty smooth - the rest of the setup however is going to take some time - definitely a learning curve and much to do to get configured.   Much is missing and I guess is not ready for prime time in 2024 from 2020 from the market place (which I knew - but it would keep me from using 2024 quite yet).   Cant say it wowed me much in the few times I have loaded - yes the loading and getting to flying is faster but once in the graphics arent quite there yet for me...but its early and much more is to come.   I am sure down the road I will switch but clearing I am not there yet.

same here,  especially the weather is, at least from the looks of it, spot on, I don't know what sources they use, but even the fog started about where I saw it in real life !!! Fenix and BeyondATC (waiting for other tools) !

Talking about weather, this is an amusing attempt to land at Shoreham on Saturday during Storm Bert. Ever seen that footage of Swordfishes hovering over aircraft carriers in high winds?

Is this a joke?

streaming is terrible. Both poor on pc and Xbox.

And now they are force streaming all your addons with no way to turn them

ofd which is causing conflicts in the sim with multiple airports and clashing apps.

it’s an utter joke.

This is "exactly" how it should be in a 770 KG Cessna !

Just flew around the Bilbao area in the Sting S4, low 'n slow. Ground detail looks awesome! Some PG buildings look a bit wonky, but that's nothing new.

A more accurate statement is that "streaming is terrible for you", and yes, likely, for some others. For me streaming has been great, no issues whatsoever after the first couple of days. I do not want to go back to putting all that stuff on my hard drive. I am very happy with the performance and the quality of what I am seeing. I get that some are having a hard time with streaming and hopefully those issues can be figured out in the next little while, but it is not at all accurate that everyone is having a terrible time with it.

If you have been paying attention, you should know that downloading your add on planes and airports will become availabe as soon as the Market Place is turn on.

Agreed. Very little hiccups for me, the most annoying is the mouse being unable to interact with things randomly in VR, otherwise it has been a good upgrade. The lighting and clouds (especially at night) are amazing now.
