At least all my add-ons work. I don't get slide shows flying into a big city like some 2024 users report, I don't have to walk around a large jet before I can fly, my airports at night don't look like a cartoon set, etc.etc., and at 30,000+ feel where I normally fly, I can't see pebbles anyway. 😁

You can't see pebbles at 300 ft either, just when you land or walk outside 🙂

I honestly see FS2020 as visually more appealing. I know this goes against what FS2024 fans think, but on my monitor, the FS2024 clouds are permanently washed out with virtually no shading unless you

Then, as I say, stick with 2020 indefinitely and be happy. Next gen isn't going to be for everybody.

It's become boorish, tedious and a sad waste of time. If you're happy with whatever platform you prefer, good on you. Enjoy it to the max but don't try to force that opinion on others.

Just done a flight back in 2020 its just so much better and looks great too.

2024 is a basket case at present compared but hopefully it will improve it has too because in its present form its inferior in my opinion.

I honestly see FS2020 as visually more appealing. I know this goes against what FS2024 fans think, but on my monitor, the FS2024 clouds are permanently washed out with virtually no shading unless you go for quite dense clouds. I also find it hard on many aircraft to bump up the gauge display clarity compared with the exterior. I also see an unpleasant yellowish tinge in nearly all FS2024 scenery. I get that it is more detailed, but at this time FS2020 is more reliable, runs smoother and is less hassle, and to my eyes looks overall better.

Like so many I tried MSFS 2024 a day after it was released and found it inferior to my 4 year fully loaded MSFS 2020. Yes it's 4 years old and it's better in so many ways. The only thing I was really excited about was the improved terrain and the new flight planner, but once I experienced the poor performance and washed out night lighting, I decided to uninstall it. It didn't take me long to see that 2024 was rushed out the door in the hope that users would be ok with beta testing and installing updates. I'm not one of those users. I'll stick with 2020 until they close the server or 2024 improves. I wish them success!

MSFS

My initial hope to switch platforms within a few months is looking pretty unlikely. I read a comment about devs receiving a different version of 2024 to the one released (Carenado), and I wonder if they will continue to have the rug yanked while Asobo develop 2024.

The FSL A321 looks very interesting, so that and the PMDG 738 are likely to keep me in 2020 for the forseeable future.

I will use 2024 for GA / bush flying where it excels.

Yeah, and almost 2/3 of windows users still use windows 10, in fact users of windows 10 vs 11, percentage has been increasing lately . New isn't always better, and sometimes it is worse. Look at 2024.. LOL

Pretty ridiculous perspective!

There are many reasons why more machines are currently running Windows 10. The speed to adopt new operating systems is very slow in the business world.

Many industrial machines for example running Windows 10 may never be upgraded because of compatibility issues. I know many instances of companies not upgrading due to software not being compatible with Windows 11. It has little to do with consumer use as to win 10 or win 11 being better or worse.

You, perhaps more than anyone should stick with MSFS2020, soon to be known as the Windows 10 of Flight Sim 😉

69% of Windows users use Windows 10. Only 27% use Windows 11. So....

Let's see some consumer statics, or are you just making up facts?

BTW, we have several PCs where I work part-time, some have 10 and some have 11. Almost everyone goes for the machines with 10 on them, because they can do things much quicker with the better  UI .

Windows 10 is popular. So is McDonald's 😁

Many people don't care or are even aware of what OS they are using.
