I had a quick look and it looks like only the Pro version will be supported in MSFS 2024 😡 . I am still holding back on getting MSFS 2024 and one of the reasons was the problem with the TDS GTNxi. Seem like I will have to fork out more money. So much for compatibility from 2020 to 2024.

So to get it working in MSFS 2024 I have to purchase the Pro upgrade, which is Navigraph support, which I do not want, otherwise I would have purchased it from the start. Ok, no thanks then.

Through TDS manager. Easy thing.

So what AC are supported in 2024? I updated and went into MSFS 2024 but the C172 still has the GN530.

The c172 never had the gtn in 2020 though.

It's basically if you used a plane in 2020 with TDS support, it should work in 2024.

So...the Comanche then?

Seems like I used this in the A2a and Blacksquare aircraft in 2020.

Seems to work for me in the PA24 and Black Square TBM 850 and Dukes.

It appears there is a $26 "upgrade fee"... Up to you to decide if it is worth it or not...

These developers do need to get paid, somehow.. 😊

I have not yet pulled out my credit card, but the PMS free version is only a placeholder for me..  so my guess is that I will make the move sooner or later..

some $ 70 one time payment for TDS plus $ 100,- Navigraph chart subscription, i.e. $ 100 every year ($ 170 initial cost.)

It appears the Jeppesen charts are of such low resolution, they only look ok and readable on the TDS website screenshots at a huge size that no one has in their virtual cockpit, let alone in VR.

are they still using low resolution Jeppesen bitmap charts in the TDS instruments? (at least this is how I remember it from the Jeppesen GPS trainer they were using), and as it still seems in the TDS screenshots. vs. high resolution LIDO vector charts. or does TDS now also use high resolution vector charts in their panel?

otherwise it is "YIPEE!!!!!!!!!!! " for the free default LIDO charts in MSFS 2024.
