Oh my, the ground textures are massively improved!  Couple of videos below, both using SU1 Beta, DLSS 4 Quality & DLAA.  Those who like a sharp image - get now! First is south East of San Die

  • Thanks to all for their valuable input. Just did another flight MSFS2024 1.2.11.0 with good result. Strangely, I have the feeling my GPU is less stress but the visual quality is very good, with MSFS S

  • Today’s DLSS4 video from IslandSimPilot: Only a few hours left to install the pre-release stuff until everything goes live tomorrow 😊 He recommends disabling the auto-optimize opti

Watch the July Q&A from last year where he tried to contact the nVidia guy but "he was on holiday", such a lame BS excuse when he had MONTHS of opportunities to contact him.....

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

So ironically for me the best combination I've found is the 310.1 Super Resolution with the 3.51 I think it was frame generation file.  310.1 Super Resolution and Frame Generation didn't produce the best results with the latest CUDA driver which is a bit weird so for now I am 310.1 and 3.51 and much happier again.

That’s a pretty bold opinion you’re expressing. Why would he have a portfolio of gaming platforms? I didn’t realise that was a pre-requisite to voice an opinion 🤷🏻‍♂️

If you can’t see the irony of someone who has never built a gaming platform calling Asobo inept/incapable of developing said platform without credentials to demonstrate how they might do it “cheaper, better, faster”, then I can’t help you.

There is no irony involved, he merely expressed an opinion. I didn’t ask for your help either, and he didn’t say he could do it ‘cheaper, better, faster’ either, as far as I am aware. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Asobo are a mess in certain respects, and he had valid points.

Ive never built a gaming platform (I mean I can’t imagine a large portion of the population has to be honest) and I would call Asobo inept too when it comes to certain things. Just like I would call paradox games inept when they released cities skylines II.

when I try to install the new driver from the CUDA package, it fails with no indication of why

I usually just use default Windows built-in tools to remove older drivers, no external stuff required. Only after removing the previous driver version could I successfully install the new CUSA driver, though installing the newer one over the older driver has never been a problem for me before.

Pretty bold statement.  I’d be interested in seeing your Portfolio of multi-user server delivered Gaming Platforms you’ve developed. None?  Ok then…

I’m not in the gaming development industry, they are. And thus anyone has a right to critique their development process when they can compare it to past individual experiences with other software development companies. If you think you have to be a software developer in order to formulate an opinion then every single video, social media platform, online websites, etc… that write articles or produce videos on this subject have to have produced software to render an opinion? Don’t be absurd.

He recommends disabling the auto-optimize option when installing the app. If not, all the graphics settings in the sim will be changed, not just for MSFS, but other games as well.

MSFS is supposed to be automatically DLSS4 compatible. In case this doesn’t happen, at 12:52 he talks about how to force DLSS4 in MSFS.

So I guess it’s no longer necessary to fiddle around with nvidia profile inspector settings.

Meaning we should delete preset J, or does it not really matter?

That’s a very good question. Hopefully someone will know 🤔

I’m guessing that it’s no longer needed, since the nvidia app will handle everything. I’ll probably still continue to use inspector for some settings that aren’t available in the app. But I might delete the .xml relevant for DLSS (CustomSettingNames.xml).

Ok.  I commit to not be absurd if you commit to not be hyperbolic and murcurical.

See my post here 🙂 looks like installing new Geforce app before installing new driver sets you up - pretty cool

I would also like an answer to that before we get the new file.

I've never felt so stupid doing something that I new could backfire
