April 1, 20251 yr Since CP takes over the camera from MSFS does that include setting up the free walkabout camera? I had CP for P3D but I've forgotten a lot of it's features. Ryzen 7 5800x, 64gb, 7900XTX 24gb

I used this for FSX and it was brilliant and surely must have improved over time - A day one buy for me. I made that remark 3 months ago, Mike. Very pleased to read the latest posts on the subject. To see both 'FlyBy' and 'Tower View' right there on the menu certainly feels encouraging, as does that new (to me) video ! Wow! Still...after each fly-by sequence the scene goes back into the cockpit. Not saying that it won't work with the new CP but a genuine instant Fly-By mode is supposed to continue. Meaning if the user doesn't change to another view the aircraft keeps on flying by along its path, preferable still controlled by the user.... (just like it did with Active Camera in FS9..). Also the video doesn't make clear if the fly-by sequenses are in real time or replay mode i.e. 'instant Fly-By' or 'Replay Fly-By' only.. Both would be the way to go ! 😉 Of course i bought the earlier Chase Plane version too. If it concerns a camera add-on i'd always buy it but ever since Active Camera by the brilliant French/Belgium Anticyclone team i am spoiled to the bone certainly when it comes to Fly-By and Tower View modes. I am 99% sure their amazing AC for FS9 can never be superseded. ( i wonder why nobody else but me talks about AC in topics about FS camera add-ons. Maybe it was only a dream... ;o)
April 2, 20251 yr Commercial Member FlyBy does stay on until you change it manually to something else. It will recycle when the aircraft reaches a certain distance from the camera and the cycle can continue for as long as you want. Since this camera system was build for PC users, there is no “plane or camera” concept… You always have control of both at the same time. Keven Menard Technical Director, //42.

Would you believe me if i say i have been waiting for these words with bated breath ever since MSFS landed on my door mat ??!!! Thank you very much, Keven !! You've made my day, week, month and year !! 🤩 Without a Fly-By- and Tower View mode a PC Flight Simulator program is only a sad state of flying affairs, atleast in my FS book. No matter the totally amazing and breathtaking looks of MSFS and MSFS2024 i, for one, have never been happy with both of these FS versions. How in the virtual world MSAsobo just forgat about these two most important and loved camera view modes is a total mystery (true, MS (Aces Studio) has never been keen to add fly-by and tower view modes to the FS franchise itself, always having a 3rdparty take care of it). Fully aware of the fact that there are lots of flightsimmers outthere who couldn't care less about fly-by and/or tower view (there are simmers who couldn't even care about external models, they never even look at 'em !?? ) but RW pilots don't have the opportunity to step outside for a while during flight and enjoy their beautiful means of transport as it soars by through the ever changing gorgeous cloud skapes.... That happens to be *OUR* prerogative ! To compensate for the fact that we're actually not really leaving Terra firma like they do.... we'd better appreciate that ! Thanks a million again for your wonderful very inspiring comment, Keven ! My cc is burning a hole in my pocket already, i'll be the first inline !! 😉
April 5, 20251 yr Why can I not buy Chaseplane? The website says "Unavailable" and no option to purchase - though it does show the price?

April 6, 20251 yr This makes me really nervous taking so long to release to the public. Seems like lots of problems with product? I loved the first one for fsx but this is really weird taking this long. Anthony Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700K CPU @ 3.60GHz 3.60 GHZ, 32 GB ram, win 11, gtx 4070 Super

April 6, 20251 yr Commercial Member We’ve decided to re-code some parts of the app to work better (things like adding support for all F keys and some more quality of life things). As I said before, CP lives at the bounds of the SDK and on a system as important as the camera, it has to work flawlessly. IDK why it would be weird to take time to do things properly? April 7, 20251 yr Also picked it up (after buying a few things I didn’t really need to get in the club - patience not my strong suit) and I really like it. Very simple to setup and use, interface is very intuitive - well done P42. Only thing I’ve not yet figured out is how to slow down the transitions between views in the same group, for example when switching from the pilot front view down to the MCDU, it would be nice to transition a little slower. I remember this was doable in EZdok and the old CP, is it still the case @Keven Menard?
