January 31, 20251 yr Confused by the multiple threads. I’m on MS2020. Is the NVIDIA app crashing it and thus cannot use it for DLSS4? I have no interest in having to get the third party profile inspector and will just stay with the old NVIDIA control panel and TAA if so. Eric

At least then, preset J was called preset J and not some obscure numbers. I’m tempted to just stay on the pre-release driver (which works really well) until a less arduous way of doing things presents itself. 🤣 Rich Sennett

Without hesitation the two most important and productive addon developments for 2020 and 2024 have been Addons Linker and AutoFPS. Both are intuitive to use and gain benefits. And I have never previously had equal experiences. But all of this other hoop jumping to chase performance that honestly I do not need? My bad. January 31, 20251 yr Had a fun one with this driver. Using a 4070 super in the A380 on MSFS2024 and was getting around 60-90fps. Download this driver and it tanked everything and was running 12-18fps. Rollback the driver and straight back to 60-90fps. January 31, 20251 yr It rebooted my PC. Neither iteration of MSFS, 2020 or 2024, has ever done that. What is this monstrosity? Edited January 31, 20251 yr by verbal i9-13900K | 6400MHz DDR5 (32GB) | GeForce RTX 4090 24GB MSFS 2024 | PMDG 777-300ER | FBW A380X | Fenix A320 | ini A350
January 31, 20251 yr It is very confusing indeed, but we made together breakthrough with MSFS2024. Here is all the info you need, how to enable profile K with latest nvidia driver: In a nutshell: updated 31.1.2025 - The newest DLSS profile is K that is combatible with latest Nvidia GPU drivers released 30.1.2025 - The profile J was temp profile for earlier drivers - Profile K is suppose to have less ghosting than profile J, but not so much. - Profile K CAN be added by Nvidia App to MSFS2020 (even it wasnt in the list). Just put "Latest" to Super Resolution in "DLSS override - Model presets". I will use latest 310.2.1 dlss and Profile K in MSFS2020. - Any Profile CANT be added by Nvidia App to MSFS2024 and "latest" option doesent use 310.2.1 dlss. - only way have profile K to be enabled in MSFS2024, is Profile Inspector at the moment. - you also need latest DLSS .dll (310.2.1.0) that is taken from Cyperpunk patch. You can download it here: https://easyupload.io/m/0tr422 - You also need profile inspector: https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/tag/2.4.0.8 - you also need CustomSettingNames.xml for Profile inspector, that you need to edit https://easyupload.io/d4ceij - edit that .xml: rename J to K and put HEX 0x0000000B copy it to same folder, where profile inspector is. - open profile inspector: select (base profile) dlss profile 0xFFFFFFFF OR 0x00FFFFFF . Both works. Apply Changes. You can verify, that you have profile K enabled in game, with this: 1) Open registry 2) go to Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\NGXCore 3) create a new DWORD32bit Value with name “ShowDlssIndicator” 4) Set Value to **Decima**l and **1024** 5) To disable it just set it to 0 again. TROUBLESHOOTING FOR MSFS2024: If your MSFS2024 is crashing during boot sequence, try to remove DLSStweaks compeletly: Delete these files from Limitless folder: * dlsstweaks.ini * DLSSTweaksConfig.exe * nvngx.dll / winmm.dll (depends, did you rename it earlier via registry entry or manually)
January 31, 20251 yr Running SU1 and 572.16, MSFS2024 looks magnificent and runs flawlessly. I have decided there is really nothing to gain from trying to use DLSS 4 any more so I'm not going to bother jumping through any more hoops to do it. Not should I. As far as I can see the benefits would be barely perceptible to me so until Asobo and or Nvidia can make it work by default - I am out. See my guide. Hi, Without swapping files all I got in the Nvidia app was "unsupported" shown for my 4090 after refreshing/rebooting numerous times. With the swapped files they are now listed and have been setup. This was a pain to get going, but the end result seems to be worth the effort. January 31, 20251 yr For those that don’t have/ don’t want to use new nvidia APP or whereby new nvidia app has everything greyed out:- I downloaded the latest Nvidia Profile Inspector (version 2.4.0.8) from GitHub. https://github.com/Orbmu2k/nvidiaProfileInspector/releases/download/2.4.0.8/nvidiaProfileInspector.zip I ran Nvidia Profile Inspector as an administrator and, in the Global Profile, set 0x00000001 for the following settings: Enable DLSS-FG override Enable DLSS-SR override Enable DLSS-RR override set 0x00FFFFFF for the following settings: Override DLSS-RR preset Override DLSS-SR presets I clicked Apply changes in the top right corner to confirm the changes. This is all that you need to do! No need to swap or download any dll files or mess around with any profiles or anything else. It’s simple!

I assume you did install first the latest NVidia drivers, rebooted, and then installed and run NV Profile inspector with the above changes. This topic has turned into a complete mess with contraditory results and procedures! Thanks Edmundo Azevedo
