March 13, 20251 yr Does the v2 have a private livery or is the expansion pack needed? I'm looking at the livery list but dont see any that give the idea that any are private. Thinking about grabbing this plane and using it to fly/follow a band, race car driver or the likes as they tour or compete to give reason to fly it. Edit to add: is the cabin a VIP cabin and does gsx work with loading pax in that vip cabin if so or must it be a commercial seat setup for gsx to load the pax correctly? March 14, 20251 yr A quick thank you for a great plane @JustFlightScott and team! I feared a FPS nightmare, but even my rig (prone to FPS nightmares and stutters) had no issues with this plane (great)! Because I know marketing data helps, the price cut helped inspire me and with JustFlight points etc. it was an amazing deal. SUCH old tech - I'm nearly 50 years old - this is basically like flying an airliner version of ME around - and I LOVE it! I never had the chance to fly on a F28, but did see them in Canada in Ottawa on business trips up to the plant I scheduled in Brockville, ON just out of college, and in 1991(?) got to fly on an American Airlines F100's second revenue flight ever (the return flight from Cincinatti back to Chicago, as announced by the Captain) - the new plane smell was very present as were spotless wing paint and seats. Some questions - 1) HOW do I turn on the GPS in the EFB? I'm old, but don't want to chase needles to navigate until I master this craft? I see no option to turn it on? 2) The cockpit registration is always N14437 - perhaps a MSFS2024 issue? 3) I can't see my balding, middle aged version of myself in the cockpit, nor anyone else 4) Not an issue, but a reminder to other buyers who may also be purchasing this - this bird does NOT have reverse thrust - I remember reading an article in "Flying" magazine about a USAir F28 pilot landing one of these in the rain in upstate New York, bringing it in low for extra runway length and asking himself WHY did they cut corners and skip reverse thrust on this plane? I just forgot this landing at KBUR Burbank, but remembered in time to stop! Thanks again - please keep working on that F100 and BAe-146 update - I already own the 146, and will surely buy the F100 after this (perhaps the RJ too, having flown on those)

March 14, 20251 yr Can JF confirm if this 8K cockpit textures pack is still relevant please? I could have sworn that it increased sharpness in the past, now I can't see the difference with the pack enabled or disabled, both look equally sharp so maybe it's redundant now? https://support.justflight.com/support/solutions/articles/17000134893-f28-professional-8k-textures

It's not about cutting corners, but rather a significant design choice. The F28 was designed with considerations for landing on unpaved airstrips, which is also part of the reason it has a t-tail. Not having reverse thrusters and a t-tail greatly mitigated the risk of foreign object ingestion (The A380 was initially designed without thrust reversers as the brakes were sufficient and the outboard engine still don't have reverse thrusters because of foreign object ingestion). Then as @sloppysmusic said there was the inclusion of the lift dumpers to counteract the loss of reverse thrusters with the benefit of weight reduction and improved maintainability. Tie this in with the usage of the airbrake when passing the threshold meant the F28, stopping distance was pretty incredible when the need arose.

Redirects to the same link, I just can't tell the difference with or without it installed myself, I always had to installed in V1 so maybe I'm trying too hard to spot any differences to confirm if it's working or not and getting to the point of analysis paralysis.

March 14, 20251 yr I installed yesterday and flew just a couple of circuits, no time for a full flight. Absolutely love the flight model. It feels very realistic to me and handles beautifully. Only thing for me it the six pack of instruments are quite small and therefore hard to read. I understand perspective wise they are some distance away under the glareshield but I have always wished for an option for a clickspot that could increase the size even 10-20% for improved readability. It's especially critical during take off and approach landing. I've played endlessly in MSFS2020 with zoom etc but the instruments seem very small and hard to read. Wondering if there is any possible solution to this from the JustFlight team? Otherwise amazing. Can't wait for the F70 / 100. AMD 5830X Nvidia RTX 3060 Win 11
March 14, 20251 yr Wow, job well done to the Just Flight team for a great update to an excellent product. I know they won't be everyone's cup of tea, but I love the RNAV capabilities, the FMS and the new altitude control panel. It reduces the workload just a little bit in handling this great aircraft. I'm wondering if anyone was able to assign this control binding: Lift dumpers manual retraction: THROTTLE CUT In MSFS2024 I only have THROTTLE CUT 1, 2, 3, 4 to assign, no unnumbered THROTTLE CUT. Although they were armed, my lift dumpers did not deploy on landing so I want to set some control bindings to extend and retract manually if needed. One screenshot from my initial flight, it had me humming a Toto song to myself 🙂 Edited March 14, 20251 yr by regis9 Dave Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU
