About an hour ago I checked with Fenix Installer and at that time there was no update. Must have missed it by the split of a hair 🙂

That would explain it - no update here, and I don't have GSX.

GSX modifies the XML of Fenix aircraft models so that it can add it's seated passengers. This was the way that GSX formulated without directly editing the model itself. Anyway, when Fenix launcher launches, it runs a hash check on all the files  of the Fenix, if the hashes don't match then the Fenix launcher essentially thinks you have a broken file and so it'll download that file and replace it.

If you then run the GSX updater, it'll remodify that XML again to add seated passengers which will fail the hash check again. Bear in mind it's not GSX updating, it's just GSX modifying the Fenix XML to add seated passengers. If the GSX updater doesn't see it's modifications it will add them back in. It's an endless loop if you keep updating Fenix and running the GSX updater (even if you don't run a GSX update)

There is no update, it's just a side affect of GSX's seated passengers.

My advice is, ignore any update on the Fenix launcher if you use GSX seated passengers, unless Fenix announces an actual update.

Huh? My fenix installer still says its at 2.3.0.553 for the last several months....

There have been hints about "something" related to MSFS2024, so I'm guessing that the A320 family will receive official MSFS support soon - soon being the operative word here.

Sounds like the Fenix installer should be changed to check for this, given the level of GSX integration and how committed to it they seem to be.

I have similar feelings on the PMDG SDK Broadcast flag too.

I don't think so, GSX is the one modifying the files so realistically GSX needs to find a way that doesn't induce a failed hash check. Hash checking is industry standard for updaters.

Or you could just.. not update it.

Cant see any update as yet but to be fair the Fenix A320 has been pretty much solid in MS2024 from the get go.
