March 28, 20251 yr Gonna be a good year. Was looking forward to the FSL A321NEO but now knowing this, I’d prefer to keep all my narrowbody Airbuses in one ecosystem so I’ll wait now for Fenix Eric

March 28, 20251 yr That’s interesting that Fenix is announcing this at this time. I guess they feel that FSLabs has no chance of beating Fenix to the NEO in MSFS. This announcement officially starts a race between Fenix and FSLabs to release the NEO for MSFS, but I doubt that FSLabs will win this race because they are quite a slow developer. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

Bare in mind they have said they can't afford to keep the same price structure of the CEO, but still want to be consumer friendly. Performance wise its no problem.
March 28, 20251 yr Nice of them to add in a modernized CEO variant if you purchase all the neo and ceo products! Was hoping that they would release their updated VNAV with this update, but looks like it may come at a later date.

Yeah, I do hope that Asobo find a way of letting third parties get better access so we can start to see tilt having an effect. Great update from the Fenix team though. I’ve really enjoyed their A320 series and I’m pretty confident that the NEO will have some cool new features in it as well! Anthony Milner

My personal opinion is that MSFS weather is maybe 20% as impressive as it could be with current technology. There's a distinct lack of danger or consequence, and often it misses the mark with regards to the fundamentals. (Hail hitting your windshield? Climb to find warmer air!) The Asobo WXR is equally bare bones, and probably 20% as high fidelity as it could be with current technology. So the WXR provided is, using these rough numbers, 4% as useful as it would be in the real airplane. You can disregard the red or magenta cells entirely. You don't need to worry about hail or engine flameouts, mountain waves or windshear. I'm not even sure the beam displays ground clutter or can be blocked by terrain. (My guess is a mountain between you and the cloud is entirely ignored by the simulation.) Personally I was really hoping Study Level addon makers would continue their initial boycott of the Asobo WXR to put pressure on Asobo to address the lack of fidelity with weather and the radar, but now that everyone has capitulated I'm afraid we won't see a weather or weather radar update for the lifespan of 2024, as I've learned in life that temporary placeholders become permanent fixtures. Take-offs are optional, landings are mandatory. The only time you have too much fuel is when you're on fire. To make a small fortune in aviation you must start with a large fortune. There's nothing less important than the runway behind you and the altitude above you. It's better to be on the ground wishing you were in the air, than in the air wishing you were on the ground.
