MSFS2024 SU2 1.4.13 BETA Released

Featured Replies

I noticed with the SU2 beta, I still have rotation issues on the Asobo MAX. Even pulling all the way back, it won't change the pitch.

  • I wonder if Asobo is waiting on 3rd party devs at this point... in the dev update last week, the PC12/PC24 were still listed as "In Progress - SU02" which makes me think that Carenado hasn't finished

  • usually when the changelogs start getting smaller, it means it's close to finished

  • All real flightsimmers love the announcements of new BETAs !!😃

This is exactly my experience.

If they don't fix this issue, my MSFS will no longer be useable.  XP12 may have to be in my future.

I am sure they will sort it out. But the longer they flounder the more of an opening they give to XP.

I'm now getting a ctd after selecting the CRJ

Edit: Looks like this is a me problem.  The 3rd party livery's I'm using list workaround steps.

Yearh, it's kinda annoying. The only way to get rid of them, is to completely disable airport traffic - not just "Airline Traffic". Really annoying, because the airports feels so empty, but the static aircrafts interfere with AI aircrafts. Stupid design, IMO.

Agreed. There's probably a way to switch off the default planes and leave the vehicles and staff by editing a config file but Lord knows how? Why did they decide to lump them all together? Apart from that irritation, the sim is super smooth for me.

what the, why am I getting only ~24 FPS (framegen) flying out of MROC. No custom scenery or anything for the airport or area.

Something is eating up my CPU power in the middle of Costa Rica

At FL300, still only around 40-44 FPS

I did a flight out of Puerto Rico to Miami yesterday and I had a solid 70 (with frame gen) for most of the flight.

I just had a major issue on the most recent beta.  Smooth flight up until about 20ish minutes in.  Then was stuttering at cruise to the point of almost a total freeze.  It struggled for 5minutes then got back to normal.  Then it started again and I aborted the flight.  VRAM was not maxed out nor was CPU/RAM or the GPU.

Here I use the Prosim flightmodel and up to now no weird issues.

Perhaps those CTDs have to do mostly with the default planes.

There are a bunch of reasons I am scaling back to 2020 and taking more of a wait approach on 2024.

  • The beta does feel shaky and maybe they will sort it out.
  • The big Fenix update for 2024 is gonna just destroy liveries and I have a ton of non-vendor supplied liveries
  • While the 777 release sparks joy, who knows how that will really go. Also, see previous comment about liveries.
  • While I fly the Airbus most of the time, for a while in 2020 I can't fly the 737s.

You do realise the BFU update is for both sims.

yeah, but as part of the BFU it's going to be a 2024-native. That is where Aamir mentioned they had to rework the liveries to get them into the new 2024 format.

No model changes I believe for 2020.

Did you get the settings popup warning when you had the issue?
